Old Salty (4921km):  Inverloch, VIC, AU Xcite 120, Tush 7.5 Select 40 Wind 10 - sometimes but rare 15 kts SW Great to see 12 plus sailors out for a hoot and a hollar today. A couple of beginners giving it a crack as well. Despite Kato advising otherwise I did manage to crack 5 kts!! Spent the day chasing Mick's SUP on the Inlet. Drift (6257km):  1 categories LOCATION: ANGLING CLUB WIND: SW- 5-10 INCREASING to 15KT GUSTS TIDE: LOW t HIGH GEAR: Starboard Super 12'6, KA Koyote 8.2 down to Carbon Art fr 77, C# 36cm fin DETAILS: Great day woth a good crew. Started the day on the SUper and it was a good day to compare strengths and weaknesses. Whilst I couldn't keep up with the shortboard on the plane, the moment the guys dropped off the plane or the wind become marginal, the SUP would leave them behind. Also the pointing ability was awesome- it allowed me to cut laps around the sandspit with one tack at the southern end, and one gybe at the boat ramp end. A couple of times during the day the wind got up to around 15 kts so I changed down to the CA-77. Only got it wound up a few times but the patchiness of the wind made it a bit of a slog. | ||||||||||||||||||
