5148 days ago Nice day for a swim and a walk at Washoe Lake.
Wind was perfect for 1 hour attempt. Came out on F2 SX M and 7.0, fully powered and ready for action. Started driving upwind and on my second leg encounter some nasty chop. Crashed hard and broke my unbreakable Maui Sails carbon boom in three pieces. From there it was one hour swim and 30 min. walk to my car. Took my other boom from the car, walked back, put the boom on and started sailing back. By this time wind was almost down to nothing. Ended up swimming again and walking back to my car. Total 1.5 hour of swimming and 1.5 hour of walking.
Found stone arrow head on my walk back. This place is known for finding arrow heads from Washoe tribe. Very cool !
Somehow I still have 5 10 sec. runs recorded for average speed. I was under impression that each 10 second run is recorded after change in direction. Maybe someone can explain....
