Snides (28038km): Melville Beach, WA, AU hit the water spot on at 4.00pm with a big switch off in wind...typical! fun all the same catching the odd gust but mostly underpowered on a 6.4. evo4 snides edition 6.4/xfire 102/talon34 great to see the captain (25) out on the water at last..shame about snapping that talon g10 in half also good to see the slowboat on one of the new snides editions as well!...

25 (14433km): Melville Beach - first sail in about 7 weeks! New board RRD Xfire V4 114 and tried a KA race 7.1 [thanks Jesper].Very nice both! Got the settings right at the end of the session but had an interesting time when my Talon 40 snapped claen off at the base - it has had two seasons of use! did some freestyle slides back to the beach. Thanks for the loaner Snides! Bring on more wind - preferrably on the weekends!
Slowboat (47716km): Wicked day at Melville. Not as windy as the forecast but at least got some nice gusts on my new 7.0m E4. Sweet sail. Loads of grunt and really slippery and stable. Happy days! Used the Mistral 112 all day with a 35cm fin (apart from 2 barely planing runs on the speed47 and 5.0m). Plenty of range and some nice top end in the gusts. Was going to call it quits when snides arrived and the wind swung- he is usually cursed, but it ended up the strongest and most consistent wind of the day- 4/5 of my fastest runs were after 4:25pm. Feeling a bit broken now... Best day in months.
