Primbee, NSW, AU         A tireing afternoon on the lake, NE around 20kts but all over the place.

I did not put my Kahunas on show today.

Glen has the Big Kahuna Thongs for any outstanding performance.

Lake Illawarra, NSW, AU NNE up to 22 knots or so.

Started off with the formula board, tuning with Ben. First out on the 11m and the M70 fin and this felt good. An increasing wind pushed the limits so I changed to the 9.5 and the F60X fin - first time with this combo. The fin was very good in the windier conditions, making the board very friendly. Best speed on the formula board was a 26.8 knots.

A breather and lunch then out at Primbee on the slalom board. The wind was gusty making for a tiring session. Good to be on the water with Ben, Terry & Tex.

Formula : SB 167W, SV 11m & 9.5m R2, VMG M70, C3 F60X

Slalom : SB iSonic 76, SV 7m R3, Vector Weed Speed 28/45

Out for some Formula training with Dad on the Lake. Tried out the new Severne R4 10.7. Starting to get a bit of a feel for it. Wind picked up, then tried a smaller fin on the 167 W, which worked quite well. Went out on the slalom board after, with Terry and TEX.

Severne R4 10.7, Severne R3 9.6, Gaastra 5.5

Starboard 167 W, JP Supersport

VMG M73, Caveman 66

Lake Illawarra, NSW, AU Quick sail this afternoon with Terry, Glenn and Ben. Short sail, pretty gusty not as fast as yesterday. Love the thongs Terry, thanks. Nice reward for yesteday's effort. PS still looking for nudists..

Vincentia, NSW, AU

Found some play mates for JB. Spent most of the morning there, then a late arvo sail at Sanctuary poinrt.

The Nautical mile was a big ocean blast down from Callala which I was pretty happy about (when the scary ride was over). Goal acheived crossed the bay, a long run on one tack! Should have stopped at the beach on Bowen Island but was on my own and was worried if a reef might take out my fin or worse.

Hey Glen, I thought you might be up at Kyeemagh today for the slalom races. I still have your beannie from Sandy Point! I guess next time I'll be seeing you, you'll be needing it anyway Wink

Nice work team. Watching the Bellambi Point trace, I thought the day had fizzled on you all but clearly not the case with some 30+ top speeds. Perhaps a big fat pelican took up roost on the anemometer for a couple of hours.

Team mates - I'd like to introduce Julian, my 6 year old son, to the team (pending El Capitan Bushfire's official endorsement back to the GPSTC administrators).  He logged is first GPS tracks on Saturday in a two up sail with me which I'll upload as soon as his rego is completed.  He won't be increasing the team's records speeds for a little while yet, but he will lower our average age a little!!  He should pop up on our list as "JuJu" shortly.

Well done Julian! Windsurfing is difficult but if you keep at it you will be zooming along on your own before long. Practice as often as you can.
