Was a bit concerned about the amount of water over the bank after my first gybe resulted in me going over the handlebars Embarassed

After a couple of runs in the pond i stuck a couple of gybes which i was happy with.

Went in and caught up with stroppo on the beach which inspired me to do another couple of runs down the beaver

Let out the outhaul at the top of the run on the point and waited for a gust and a gap through the traffic.

I remeber Elmo telling me on the phone that when you don't think your going fast is usually when you are.

I reckon if i wasn't lawn mowing the grass off the bank on the way down i might of had a chance of getting 30kts

Maybe next time.Laughing

Tabou Thunder 80cm, NP RSR Eiii 7.8m, JP Weed 42cm.

Pretty much last to hit the water again tonight the plan was to attempt another hour and to put the theory of a larger board being better to the test, it was proven correct, planed out of most gybes only stalled one and dropped 2 in the 90 mins on the water.

Was doing runs to just shy of the platform dodging knobheads in boats (all bar two considerate boats), unfortunately after the first run I realised that the mast foot was a bit forward and the sail needed a touch more down haul, But the hour was under way and I didn't know how long the wind would last, so I just kept grinding away the best I could with the board bashing the chop a bit rather than floating over it like nnormal.

Spotted another (smallish) shark cruising along the surface tonight, nice and choppy out in the channel gave us some regular airtime.

At the end of the hour I was going to go in but Shane called us out to do another run so I shifted the mast foot back to test my theory and confirmed it, 15mm back and the board was free and happy, did my only bear away on this run and got my peak speed.

Sorry I didn't hang around longer Shane, I had to nip home to go walk the dogs with my beloved.

Congrats tp Stu and Hammer on your PB's well done

Nice pond session with the eldest lad. Too many kiters today....got me all wound up. I cant wait for the channel markers to be put inSurprised (which apparently are going to be the same size as the outer reef marks). Fun in the sun all the same.

Congratz Shane & Bono Cool, amazing the improvements in Mandurah Mob, and while I'm on the subject of Mandurah Mob, I'd like to relinquish the captaincy, and ask for a process to select a new Captain, have sent a group email off.
