Glory Holes, Australind, WA, AU

Left home at 5.00am for a quick session at Australind - on the water just after 7 off by 8 - in the Bunbury office by 8.30!

Xfire 98 V4, KA Race 7.1, 34 Talon.

Nice to get out with Bender for a short blast in a bit of wind.

Melville Mistral 112, E5 6.4m, CL34. Needed to try some smaller fins so set the 6.4m up with a radical mast setup that worked a treat. Not super windy but the combo was smoking. Fin had loads of power for its size- more than I was expecting on my first run, sending me over the handlebars at just under 37... after a bit of adjustment it was all sweet... Love the WNWers at Melville. Good crew to play with. And still in boardies and rash top.

Good to see you got out too Norts - we are on the board for May!

Yes great way to start the day Brian - should be more of it!

Hi Cam - the RRD Xfire 98 is a cracker - very fast and the 62cm width gives it good glide through the lulls and very good float for the larger gentleman when the wind lightenens off! As I understand it the V4 and V5 are pretty much identical other than the colour. 2nd Wind has a new 98 V5 if you are keen!
