Trial Bay, NSW, AU

Very gusty 20 - 30knt westerly, great direction for Trial Bay but also about 1m choppy swell. It was hard work but lots of fun.

5.3 NP wave sail, F2 Stoke 116 and 29cm wave fin.

Phil Bennett (4130km):

Queens Lake, NSW, AU Too windy for me...Embarassed Started off with 6.6 GP2 and near got lifted off the water. Then rigged a 5.7 Severn wave sail. Bit better, but still too much in the gust.  Highlights- pulled off a good long chop hop, and made two fast gybes, one with planning exit. Getting closer!   Steve was out and making it look all too easy- bastard...lol

Sailing Club,Wallis Lake, NSW, AU

5.5 Vapor, AB54, 28BP weedfin.  Underpowered early on the 5.5 in around 18kts.  Started building so in for more downhaul, and went searching for some flat water.  Leeward side of the islandwas ok with small chop and Peter went up to the windward side of the island and was looking quick, went up and the water was flatter and shallower with longer runs.  The wind picked up further and was having problems with my front foot coming out of the strap and did have one big stack because of it.  A couple more runs and was way overpowered by now and called it quits, just not match fit.

Sailed with Pete, Bill, Anton, Rob and Jason

F2sx Medium, Hot sails Gps 6.6m, Jp 31cm weedy.

Wallis Lake, NSW, AU  Good sails Phil, Steve & Matt. Windy day at the sailing club, out with Rob, Bill & Anton, Jason and Matt. You would have enjoyed the conditions Aaron - hope you get better quickly from the bike mishap. 5m retro and 93l carbon art.

Canton Beach, NSW, AU

Another good sail at Canton today, the wind was up and down 5-25 knots. Went out on my Bic Vivace 149L raceboard with 7.3m loft and 31JP weedy to start with and got a 32.7 knots then changed boards to a S type Starboard 126L which I went a little quicker.

Sailed with Johnny, Mick, Pugs, Hugh, Byron, Bill and Jeff. Very Cold!!!

Cold. Really cold. The cold was ok, the weed wasnt. Worst I've seen it. I hit the floating weed islands and got catapulted three times. Really puts you off your game. But good to get a sail finally.

Queens Lake, NSW, AU

Just got out in time for a late one at Queens, after finishing my obligation at Kempsey.Sailed alone and had a few nice runs in a somewhat gusty and dying breeze from the WSW at 15-22k.Bit Choppy with some of the veering gusts too, mixed in with some flatter water in between. Hawk 93LTD.finworks 10.5 and 6.0GTX.

Amazing, as back on the highway the wind was howling all the way back.Sounds like I missed a good day at the Sailing Club from the reports I hear from Peter.

Some good times and PB's there, wish I could have gotten out today......damn flu! Didn't like the idea of a hospital stay with fluid on my lungs (done that before) so maybe next time.

Will have to get back out soon and start chasing Mick and Milsy again.......maybe even beat them!Tongue out

Thanks for all the kind words, Awesome session even as it was so cold! Johnny great numbers again, you were flying in the rain as I was packing up. Micky looking good (Great NM PB)and first on the water again! I have to work on my hour to try to keep up with you guys, I still fall off to much! Lots of weed today but I was lucky did not hit any at top speed. I am finding the shorter boards to spin out and harder to gybe compaired to my mothership any ideas why? (fin size, mast track position maybe).

Looking at you sailing on the mother ship you were going sideways a fair bit which means you were either under fined or under powered or yes both. Just try borow etc a slightly larger fin and see what it does.
