Point Walter, WA, AU

Wallyworld with a few of the crew.

Respect to Mr Stringer on a smoking run in to the jetty.

Got one nice run for a 40.3 display but really hard trying to find a gust that went all along the bar.

LB 6.3 / Lurch / 26 Falcon / 22 MXR Ufo (definitely felt better with the Falcon)

Point Walter, WA, AU

A very frustrating sail at PW, really short gusts and no wind behind the island. Wind actually started to drop off at about 4.

Stuck with the speed board because the potential was there, but probably would have had more fun on the Isonic.

Good team turnout + Norts and Stringer.

Melville Beach, WA, AU

spent the morning driving around for a bit, looked at point walter for a while but thought it might have too much west in it if the breaze filled in so went to melville and waited till 1 for the wind

cracked out the new toy just cause thats what you do when you get somthing new regardless of it being right for the conditions or not, luckily enough it was the right day for a 5.1 Laughing

was very flat at melville with not too much of a croud, some very strong gusts too i had afew stacks and bail outs today

not really getting any super high speeds out of it though was sitting about 32 knots most of the runs

was about to call it a day but just went for a couple more runs, I hooked a great gust and made a great slingshot heading out on the bar, accelerated up to my peak speed at about the same time i ran out of bar and hence flat water, a couple of little skips and then the board decided it really wanted to go side was at 34 knots and no surprises that it caught a rail and i had a very unpleasant catapult.

hurt my back a fair bit but all the kit was ok so after a bit of a rest i sailed in and that was the day

wally world probably would have been better but i couldn't be bothered going back there

5.1 reflex 4, 44 clockwood speed, 26 jp speed

5.1 was sweet couldn't squeeze full down haul on it for the first go but it will streatch in because of this the leach was a tad tight but jeez she had some power just loves to bear away and accelerate, super stable too and just like my other ones the rotation is perfect no effort required

stoked with the kit

Melville Beach, 101L, 7m

LaughingLaughingLaughingLaughing    ...finally !!! By 90 milliseconds, but it counts :-)

7m was a handfull today but it paid off.

The GT31 showed 30.59 and I was hoping the Ka72 would not shave off much of it.

Patrick was on the water when I got there and Sean was gybing around me faster than my top speed.

So that's what it feels to get over 30 knts.  Dont' want to do it again Smile.

Really, full of admiration for all of you going so much faster.

yeeeeeeeAAAAAAAA! Finall broke 30Knots!!

Rigged up the code red 5.9, i rig it on a 430 Neil Pryde X6 (Not right i know but it works!) I got the mast prettymuch brand new from a guy, all the stickers were still on it etc.

Went out for 2 runs but was way too over powered so i decided it come in and rig the 5m. I put my rig down on grass and took my board off... and herd a POP turned around and at first thought it was just a cam the poped off put after closer inspection i saw the mast curve was a little more than uasall...... ohhh damn my mast just snapped :((( and it only had been used about 7-10 times :(((

Apart from that it was a really fun session out there in the rain and was great.

Isonic 76L, 5m Ka koncept, 34cm JP slalom

Point Walter

I can count on one hand the number of truly great sessions I've had at Wallyworld.  This wasn't one of them.

Mistral 95 (slalom board would've been a better choice) + 6.6 TR7 + 27 Vector Speed Weed.

Super gusty, and the wind was not reaching out to the bar, so most of my runs were bearing away into chop towards the jetty.

Nice to catch up with the team, but if I never sailed this place again I wouldn't miss it Undecided

Props to Mark, JJ, Norts and Stringer (run of the day Cool) for getting it dialled.

Not a good day for gear reliability...

Tried to plug a fin into my recently repaired speed board only to find the fin I used to mould out the repair was a bit smaller than my others... some more sanding to be done.

During the session also managed to rip 2 different footstrap screws out of the deck which left me with a weirdo front-hole-to-back-hole strap arrangement which didn't feel solid.

Despite all this I managed to have a really fun session on compromise gear. Squeezed a bit more top end out of the old sonic 270 (case of beer well spent). I had one magic run where I was totally lit leading to the bar and then got a bullet just at the perfect moment to provide the 2sec peak which felt really slow. More to come from this board with a better fin.

well done lads a 39.6 and a 40..thats pretty good. Lao has got to be pleased with 2 40,s in 2 consecutive sails!2nd in the teams so far.....

I had a frustrating morning at safety bay, was there by 730 and finally got on the water at about 10 for the shortest windsurf in history...2 reaches and then the wind that was supposed to hit 35 knots died a death! i did hit 31.8 knots within 20 seconds of leaving the beach which was initially encouraging

never mind good to catch up with Isac JJ and Norts

Headed home and then went to dutchies which was smokin..

off the dial on a 4.2, great fun and got a few good turns in and some decent air so all in all pretty happy.

Yeah Jonah, Norts and I were cringing watching you getting so badly skunked. Especially considering the wind later.

Obelix and Alistair - huge congrats - not an easy day to crack PBs Cool

Thanks guys. I thought it would never happen.

Apparently there were more people down there I never met. Maybe the t-shirts will help to recognise the team members.

Mark, it's going to be hard to top up 40s every session :-) And 29000 kms Surprised. 40.000kms around the globe...you are not that far.

Well done team! Excellent team effort.

Congratulations Obelix and Alistair for cracking 30 knots! Now you are officially speed sailors.

Well done Mark, two 40+ peaks in two sessions, very nicely backed up by JJ.

Great to see Scarrgo posting again, you got that 5.1 just in time!

No sailing for me again today. I do feel I am letting the team down, but my right arm has been half numb all day so I didn't think it was a good idea.
