Lake Weyba, QLD, AU. Bit gusty N-NNE 1.30-3pm 5-18kts then evened out & slowly picked till i had to come in at 4.30 when 7.8 switchblade started to backwind me, 111carve with 37select was comfortable in choppy cond, hard to get a good 2sec when you have to run over the back of the chop. Again nice to sail with Greg & Anne

Got down early wind just wouldn't come in so decided to rig the 7.8 on the 112 Jp got 35kts speed on my second run but was getting way over powered so came in & rigged the speed kit.

Good wind much better than they predicted.

Wello QLD - NNE direction.

IS80L - NP Evo.3 6.2 - Bp 30cm. Second time on this board and not brave enough to push it. Every time I tried to Jibe Starboard to Port I stuffed up and fall in. This took a bit out of me and got winded.

Anyway I was a good session withthe Mob, improving my board speed.....

Cheers B    Cool

Day started off nicely wiith a 15-17 knot NE having some nice runs with Julian until i heard a big slap up wind of me, I knew it sounded bad.

Turned around there was Julian with a 3 piece mast. We were a fair way out, first I took his boom back in and got some rope.

And towed him in man thats hard work got him 2 the 2nd last leads when a boat took him in.

anyway stuff after that so packed up.

Looks lie the boys got some good run along the Bank. where did that wind come from.

One of those classic wello days when the wind and the tide come together. Rigged the 7.8 as the wind still had not come in by 2.30. Had 1 run over to manly where it was cranking in so quickly rigged the 6.3. Had a few nice runs with the JP, then hit the speed board for many nice fast runs down the bank. What a great day Smile

This is my first posting on GPSTC.

Futura 111l, Severne Gator 6.0m2, 38mm Drake, 20+kts NE at Wello

Great fun, following Glynn, Riggs and co down the bank. Trying to sheet out and sit in my harness. Its a wierd feeling going faster than the wind, sailing into the next gust rather than having the gust roll over me. I can see why GPS sailing is addictive.

Glynn, thanks for editting out my trip home in the car!

Looking forward to the next session

Love the google earth tracks Glynn, shows how much you have to bear off to get good speed, helps to have flat water as well. wind cranked in more than forecast up here today as well, could have gone down to 6.8 but doing gympie market tom & had to leave early to load
