Great NEster sail on the iSonic 97, Hellcat 6.2 and Drake Slalom Pro 32.

This board worked really well in these conditions. Has a lot of wind range. Planing through the lulls and screaming in the gusts. Really happy with it. I am even getting the hang of gybing it now.

Great to see Artur and many others out there. Great afternoon. Would have loved to stay but have to be somewhere this evening.

Cheers,

Adrian

Gusty NE, should have changed down to 7.0 but couldnt be bothered.

Difficult to find some wind along the runway and messy chop due to jetskis/boats etc... Still good fun and nice day on the water.

Struggled to tune the sail, in the end with the stronger gusts felt better

Welcome Remi. Good to see you guy's are still clocking up the KM's.

I will probably still be out of action for the next three weeks! Some how I caught Bird Flu, lost 7kg's and have been off work for 4 weeks already

Hi Remi, welcome to the Demerits. Nice speeds. If anyone's out tomorrow, I'll be at Sandy Point, hopefully with some good numbers to back you up! I hope everyone had a great Xmas and has a ripper of a NYE.

Cheeky Monkey, that's scary. Wish you a quick recovery. You will have to build a 7 litres smaller  board now that you are lighter

Welcome aboard Remi. Excellent results.

Great results too Adrian and a 20 knot alpha PB which is fantastic. It must have been a great summers day there. Missed out on the wind at South West Rocks.

Take it easy Stuart and hope you recover from this really serious ilness. I've not heard of a flu case, the real flu not a cold, for a while.

It was a good day Karl. Not as strong as last sunday, but great fun. Lots of jet skis and boats out, which made it a bit of a washing machine and hard to find flat water to go for speed. I timed it well and arrived as the wind picked up. I was pretty much planing the whole time on my 6.2, and at times was pretty powered up. Unfortunately my replacement boom has not arrived so that was the biggest sail I could use with my 2m boom. I got some super fast gybes in, but they did not seem to be picked up for Alpha so I must have gone in to them on too deeper downwind run for them to pickup the Alpha. The new board loves to do wider faster gybes.

Does anyone else suffer sever backwinding when gybing coming out of a speed run down the runway? How do you cope with it? Currently I just start the gybe and wait until the board slows down so I can flip the sail.

It must be the proximity rule. you are supposed to come back within 50m of your course after jybing.
