Strong and gusty NE. A bit of a blast from Primbee. Took a while to get comfortable on the board, but eventually started to feel comfortable and had a good time. Good seeing a number of guys out there.

What a long day. Arrived at 8:30am rigged for my kids and our friends so they could get the most of the wind before it got too strong. I was very happy with Charli and Finn who got into the straps for the first time today. NE finally came in so I rigging a 5.9 for my wife Fiona, that lasted about 15 minutes and it was too strong, then rigged a 4.7 and in half an hour it was too strong for that too. I then rigged a 6.2 RSR and took the kids for a blast on the front of the long board. I finally got on the water by myself at about 2pm. The 6.2 was too much sail so I ended up rigging a 5.5. Scary in the big chop with that much wind. I finally decided to go have a look at Keef's speed strip north of the ramp. Rick Turner, Keef and Paul Daniels were already there. Its only a short run but when a gust gets in there it's quick. Had about 5 runs before the wind deserted the area, saw some awesome catapults, hope your hands ok Keef, and then I finally packed up at about 5:30. Stuffed now.

Primbee, NSW, AU

Started at Kanahooka with 6.2, wild chop and wind so went to primbee.

Met the old man of the sea named Terry who introduced me to Bushie the speed king

Sailed in gusty conditions from the shallows into the lake using 5.8 rs racing sail on futura 101 with a weed fin that was too long

Board hit bottom and the mast smashed into side of board cracking it.

Had a quick sail with the Supersport 118 which was fun

Will try to find some more time to sail with the Illawarra speedsters when my work load at home eases.

Hope you had fun guys. Missed out again, not having any luck lately. Hoping the planets align for the southerly Tuesday morning. (getting desperate!)

Good work Mark, was good getting out for a session with you again. Yeah there were some brilliant catapults out there today and as usual I think Rick was in the lead on the crash statistics :)
