Fun day sailing at the island with Bindi, Fred, Ed, Billy and Ian. Nice consistent 15 to 20 with sunny skies and nice clean water for a change.
Might start making the effort to spend more time at the island as our windy season is on the way!
Used Isonic 107 C3 Viper 40 and OverdriveR4 7.8

Lesson learnt today.....book if you are going over to Green Island.....especially on public holidays
and to bring spare down haul rope as my broke during set up. Thank you Billy for the spare.
Took the 6.6 Loft today but would have been better with the 7.3 ...but you get that!
Wind had a lot of easterly in it which made it hard going...then add some direction changes and you have it.
The team had a good turn out today and I think all enjoyed the day...Billy and I left early to get the 2-30 boat home
as we could not get a return on the later boat. Edd and Ian and partners are staying over tonight so may get better
wind tomorrow. Captain Kel sailed very well and as usual cracked the 30's...great effort.

Decided to make the dash across to Green with Freddy, Ian, Ed and Sue, Kel and Belinda. Forgot all about Easter Hols and Peak Tourist time - dropped names left right and centre to little avail. Ended up getting over but had some sketchy time getting back to the mainland, so just winged it. Reasonable day on offer - plenty of wildlife both animal and human.
Looking at my track's, i just missed Arlington by a matter of metre's (maybe 500m), at least I know I can make it. Wind up and down with some pretty wild changes in direction, but overall, a great day. As always, if you get stuck in a change of direction, it doesnt make fo a pleasant sail upwind to make it back. Good gas bag with the local crew, now its time to enjoy a cold ale and wait for preceding reports. Should be a pretty good day out for the Team overall.
104 Screamer, 7.5 T4 and 37.5 BPR.
