SmileSmileSmile - Now that was unexpected. What a great afternoon. Wifey Wife has dinner on the table, will post after dinner.

Edit: the following day, after checking that my eye lids didnt have any holes....Wink. I can tell you, yetserday was a complete surprise. Coming back from town with the wife, I said to  her that i'd drop past the local, just to satisfy myself that this urge to go sailing shouldnt be on the cards. Answer - "Ok, whatever". Got to Hollaways and it was white cap central - ESE, coming in at a solid 15-16 knots. Got back in the car with a huge grin and the wife say's "Well, I guess you wont be home for lunch then eh." I says "I'll be home, but I'll be packing." and quickly added that she was the love of my life...Innocent.

After sailing pretty well every session this year with me good mate Freddy "Steptoe" Burke, it felt kinda weird not sharing the water with him, so at the last minute I decided to place a call into the Captain and see what he was upto. I dont reckon he believed me about the conditions, but alas, it didnt take him long to down tools and arrive at the beach. He was met with a reasonable 13-14knts, dropped of slightly but still a very pleasant sail indeed. Lack of TOW was showing on my behalf. Dropped every jibe bar the one that gave me my PB.

Being an ESE, you couldnt get any down wind runs out of it, unless you wanted to go dangerously close to the sand bars protecting Yorkies Knob, so I just decided to enjoy the afternoon without to many heroics. Kel fired up his i117, which was being put its paces, he certainly looked like he was enjoying him self.

For the moment, an itch has been scratched and I am well satisfied with that effort.

Kel, thank you for joining me.

Fangman - certainly not in your litery league, but I must say I have warmed to the story telling over the past 12 months.
