Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU 6.6 tr9, RS2, muliple fins

started out on the 19 delta and just kept spining out. top speed 31.5

use a fin i made 21.5cm 50 deg thick profile first run 37.5

tried a 23 cm 45 deg slim was ok but a bit small for the slalom board more suited to speed could feel the fin hiting the weed on the botom but never caught any. did 35.5 on this.

went back to the 21.5 and got another run over 37 just had to get that gust at the right time.

was under done big time with the 6.6 just arm chair sailing but great to sail with every one heaps out. realy wanted to get 25 knots so i could get on the speed board but didnt get enough wind to get on it.

Exocet RS Formula, Mauisails Titan 9.0, Deb R13 70 - Wind E 15-18 kts

Great afternoon of well powered formula racing at the club today.  Top speed was a scary bearaway downwind from the top mark into a big gust.  Great to see lots of guys out.

JP Formula 100 Maui TR& 10.0

A windy race day at Marmong. Glad I chose 10.0. Very stenuous afternoons racing. Even Nathan had a 10.0 up.

Coal Point, NSW, AU

Naish 95SP then Fanatic Falcon 79 (Select 29 gps fin) both with Maui TR9 5.9.

The last time I used a sail less than 6.0 was on 5-Jan-2014. So it was pretty windy at Coal Point today. Hugh rigged his 6.2, so 5.9 sounded about right for me. As it was the first time on this sail the first few runs were terrible, my harness lines were way to short (24). Came back in and fitted some adjustable ones - much better. It was also my first time on my repaired (by me - for the third time) carbon boom, so I was half expecting a break. As it turned out I was not the one breaking stuff. Rus got in early by breaking his mast just as he stepped in the water, then Cluffy snapped his close to Coal Point and had to be towed all the way back to Swansea.

Lots of chop everywhere today, only one very small patch of flat water. But a lot of fun.

Coal Point, NSW, AU I am still not uploading my Alpha 500 details. The information is on the real speed program but disappears when I open KA 72. Needs more research.

Marmong Point, NSW, AU Easterly 12-18 +. Went out with10.0 m but two minutes each-way was enough for me. A year off sailing in good breeze was a good reminder of my fitness. i changed down to 7.6 to catch the last of the raceing. Pity I didnt gig it right this time but it will right to go on the next 18 knotter.

formula 159, deb 70, 17s, maui tr7 7.6 m.

Good work Tim, a big jump for your 2 sec peak. Send me your file and I will have a look at it.

Sue the Falcon felt good in the chop. Better than the Naish, but probably just because it is smaller with a smaller fin.

Why can't you sail at the moment?

Looks like a lot of the team managed to get out, 10 posted already and at least 5 more that I know of were sailing.

Tha falcon would be a sinker for you wouldn't it? It's 13 over my weight so I'd probably not want to try much more than 20kts in chop..more than that and the 68ltre would be better.

I'm getting heart palps checked out and I was told to rest. The last sail I  ignored them. My arms and legs got really heavy and I could hardly move.. Winxtasy ( vet ) said it could be serious and to check out so I have been. I was hoping the blood test could tell me whether it was a heart attack last sail or just harmless but it was too late to tell.  I need to get to emergency when its happening ( yeah right just leave all the gear and drive there..Undecided ) .

My patience is running out though.. I need a sail to prove to myself I'm ok..Wink
