Hard sail at the top of the tide but great to get out. Nice to catch up with Sausage (the chop king) and Shannon from the gold coast team.

Wellington Point, QLD, AU. Mistral 112. 7.8 loft blade and 38 tribal speed weed

First sail since Xmas eve and the body is feeling it now. First run on the Mistral 112 . Close to 30kts but no cigar. Sailed at high tide so very choppy. The board felt good buttThe sail felt heavy today. It probably needed more down haul. By the time the bank came out I was buggerred.

Windier than expected only had the 7.8 and 110 40 fin with me too much board and fin.

Had to quite early after pulling a hammy or muscle back of my thigh and my arse.

thanks guys for helping pack up my gear shame the water was just getting flat.

did a 34 out in the middle of the bayCool.

Wellington Point, QLD, AU, Falcon 104, Nash Freeride 6.5 and a 38cm fin. Too rough for me to get any speeds, but I enjoyed this short sail. I had fixed my board where I had stepped through the deck and it was slippery like ice, so I skidded off in most of my gybes. I'll have to do something about that

Tuff sailing with the big gear choppy & over powered wrong angle for the bank but got one good run maybe wind changed angle towards the end.

Sorry Vando having a crash hope the leg will be ok.

Good to see Snags from Yepoon also Shanon & George from the Gold Coast George said we might see more of him as the GC is so bad these days he won't sail there.

JP Slalom VIII 96L, Select 33cm, EVO5 6.4m. Very quick windsurf with Phil at South West Rocks before a storm came over. Wind never really filled in as predicted. Made a pretty good run more than half way across the bay in open ocean. Guessing it was about 10ft swells coming through which was very interesting on the slalom gear. Spent most of the run with the handbreak on as was just too rough on this board. Great to be back in the open ocean in some very challenging conditions. No speed in this place but otherwise a really great spot for some fun. Was great to catch up with Phil again and boy he can windsurf good these days.

Not sure how to put my tracks on here from the google earth overlay.

Nice sailing with you guys and meeting some of you; Glyn, Vando, John, Sausage .... It was my 3rd visit there and I love it. Especially the swell and all that open space you have there. You will definitely see me more often as Gold Coast is just packed with anchored boats more and more. So Vic Point and Wellington Point are my favourite places so far. Shame Curt missed out...had to work for a change.

Hi Sausage, Just took the big CA out for a few runs but on a dying breeze so not much better than the 32 knots out in the bay.

Nice one Trevor!!!
