PK (1738km): Whyalla, SA, AU Thommen 115lt, Gator 6.5 with 20-25kts of nice solid sea breeze. A over cooked at times but felt comfy.
mikewho (2720km): sailed goowla (cafe) 1st sail with tabou 118l speedster (42cm choco) 7.5 serverne od, 18/21knts sth, about 5 windsurfers there, all on 120l+ boards. had fun, this board 233cm by 75cm so easy when your not sinking in lulls, saved me a long trip to boggy.
Tricky Bogan (21417km): What a smooth day, dodge tide gave us smooth water all day and a teaser wind, started out with the 6.6 & had a couple of nice runs but spent more time glugging that planing came in and had confrence with the crew and I volentered to rig the 7.9 race so the wind would blow me off the water! Well it did pick up a bit but I never got over powered (dont take much when I am on the 7.9) spent the rest of the day clocking up a few km's as I was not doing any good at anything else Was a great day sailing with Jeff, Shane, Nicola, Carl and Simon. A debreif over a couple of coldies Bunta days sailing!
hoppybogan (25813km): Stansbury, SA, AU Southerly 12-15knots FF102,GPS6.6,Lessacher Duo 28 Not a lot of wind to start the session. We had company today,Yetti,Nicola and Carl and with me, Tricky and Simon the bay was awash with color and movement. The water was prety flat and on and off the plane seemed the order of the day. I ran into trouble in the deep when i was hovering the sail to waterstart after falling in in no wind. No uphaul rope and the sail and mast filled with water. Yetti came to the rescue and headed in for an uphaul rope but whilst waiting i decided to use the paqua strap as an outhaul rope and the outhaul rope for the uphaul, and it worked as i sailed in embarased. It was a fun afternoon on the water even though the wind never kicked in. Richard supplied the beers afterwards to end a good day. Cheers Richard.
Captain skip bogan (50112km): Stansbury, SA, AU - 12 to 15 knots. Fun light wind session on big kit at Stansbury with Tricky, Hoppy, Yetti and Nicola and a couple of other nice blokes. Last minute decision to go and arrived at 1pm to a few out attempting to cruise in some pretty light wind. It didn't look real good but decided to head out any way. With the dodge tide the water was real flat with some glass sections that made Lake George look rough . Haven't used the 7.3 for a while so felt like a big bag and the weedy 32 duo took a little while to get used to in the 113 (thanks for the loan Tricky - i will have a new weedy by next session down there. At the end went in early and watched Tricky and Hoppy use the end of the best wind of the day - had some fun and will be back - great spot . Thanks Hoppy and Tricky for the after sesh beers and as usual the chat . P.S mile was short Tricky and Hoppy - 26 knot at 1km - will remember that next time . Fanatic falcon 113 / 7.3m Hot Sails GPS and 32 duo weedy.
