Sanctuary Point, NSW, AU  congratulations ark with the 40knts + todaySmile and amazing how you get that 80lt board going with 6/0 ncx in marginal wind with a small fin

thanks tricky for donating another 4 easter eggs for the egg hunt on sunday , i noticed you gave the kids a few eggs before you left ,

Ritch i thought we could have used them for the egg hunt on sunday, not having a go at you mate but any major decisions has to go through the captain and if the captain's not available / vice captain keef  and down the line , in this situation don't even consider contacting Arky because he's the king of the kids,Laughing i will take note and put it on the agenda for the next meeting

it was great to see the kids there and a special mention to Jai\ ? he has only had 10 goes and was hammering off the wind and in total control , total credit to ark's coaching and as a reward i'll save a caramel soft centered easter egg, onya arky your an asset to the gust busters

should have rigged my 7.2 but at the end of the day happy with the evo6 6.4 ,ca55, and custom 20 weed

Sanctuary Point, NSW, AU Pretty light out there for this session, all the better for testing out the slowly repairing hamsting. It held on just fine but I didn't push my luck;just clocked up 10 miles and called it a day. I kept wondering why I couldn't catch Matt on his 6.5 sail........then I found out it was 8.2m...Doh!

Anywhooo, I passed out the Easter eggs as per the seabreeze post, all seemed happy except that I've since been advised that I jumped the Gustbusters chain of command a bit...Sorry about that! I'm impressed how Keef has taken up his acting role of El Capitano in Ian's absence and was straight on to the non observance of due process....obviously he's going to be running a tight ship, so watch out!  :-))

So, in the end i used my Fanatic 115 TripleX and my Sailworks Retro 6.5. This has been my goto sail for ages now, however I'm looking to get a new one. Probably a Retro again, but I'm also looking at the Sailworks NX 7.0.  They both look great so I just need to decide what style of sailing i'm  going to concentrate on. Hard call. The new Revos will be in the country soon as well....decisions decisions......Slying the money aside as we speak.......

Good to see all the folk there, Ian, Calvin from Sydney, Matt, Keef, Steve, Pam, Arky and tribe....  :-)

Hey Matt, what's the Facebook pages your wife was talking about? I couldn't find them  :-(

Too busy keeping the country safe yet again from the protected dugout of a desk and a computer (and a dodgy knee)...

Dezza  i know how you feel ,all my working life i was tied down to a 6 days a week and a  6 weekly  appointment cycle  so basically it was sunday,

fortunately the winds were more reliable and more consistant, my main sail was a mark sears 4.2 on my slalom and a 7mt max on my race board

Dez what i'm getting at is have you ever thought of taking up knitting or crocheting for the non windy days  , it's  very therapeutic and rewarding Wink

I'm  leaving Gustbuster management, including the co-ordination of the Easter egg hunt, in your capable hands Kaptain Keef. I'm off working overseas for the next month or so.,

great to see the hammy pulled up ok tricky, it looked like you were having a good sesh out there for only 17 days from the accident and considering you was told you need major surgery , it looks like your weekly fittness program payed off this time Wink

forget about what i said about giving the kids the easter eggs , i'm over easter and xmas and birthdays who ever invented birthday need s a bulletLaughing

on a cheerfull note i have asked Ian to contact the gps teamchallenge and  notify them that i will be in control untill he gets back into the country, i will then request that the ACT will be deleted and  the team will be renamed  GUSTBUSTERS

PS the motion for the name change was at the last feb meeting and  was put forward by keef and second'd by CRAIG COLE , apologies , omo, was accepted because he's a non member

Just thinking about the name change.  We should replace the word "ACT" with "Aussie".

There is a another team iin the GPS Teams challenge called "Cro Gust Busters" - I can't think why it was allowed but there you go :(

Also, keeps us near the top of the table and easy to find ;)

hey Ark the gps teamchellenge has been informed that Ian will be out of the country and he has nominated keef as acting captain,

i have contacted bristol about the name change and he is happy with GUSTBUSTERS , i haven't submitted anything too gps teamchallenge but i would imagine if teamchallenge wasn't happy with just dropping the ACT we would then need to submit altleast 3 names

the alternative is to wait untill Ian comes back in 5 weeks and  taking ito account he hasn't left yet,

there's no rush for the name change , i'm just happy to be given the responsibility as acting kapitain Wink

for any members that doesnt have my email add, send me a  PB through seabreeze , for the members that do have my email , email me with your thoughts

Hey Ark nice PB on wednesday aren't you going to postLaughing

I have no problem with a name change. Pete S agrees.

I like Akim's suggestion,  but happy for the team to decide.

GUSTBUSTERS , we have 3 new menbers capt.jack sparrow , Ezza , and Kye , Kye sailed with the team on thursday and for his 10th time on a board his 2sec time was 20knts plus which is an incredible effort, i'm not sure about the other divisions as he hasnt posted ,

what ever the out come and  as deputy captian untill Ian gets back i'm going to give Kye my 5x jellybean , great effort Kye  and hope you post before the end of the month so your n/o's are recordedWink

The order is ready for the tee-shirts so we need to have a vote on the new team name

Ark and Bristol have mentioned Aussie Gustbusters ,the captain isn't in the country so i guess he's going with "GUSTBUSTERS ?" ,Pete-S is happy with a change so if we don't hear from him we will count his vote as "GUSTBUSTERS ", Troll, Gav, and MR hemorrhoid are happy to go with GUSTBUSTERS , Dezza will be happy just to get some wind on a weekend Smile

Arky just a reminder you need to be old enough to vote so i'm not sure if your in contention Laughing

any other suggestions please.
