Kyeemagh, NSW, AU

CA62/MS6.3/T36

Probably the best southerly this year.20-26knots,warm and sunny.

Was going great until I hit something with the fin, went over the front, smashed the mast, smashed my ribs on the boom and had a 45min swim back to the shoreline.

Dont know whats going on at Kyeemah but Ive hit more submerged crap in the past two southerly sesssions than in the past 20 years!

Anyways thats the season for me DDs.

Exocet RS3 - Mauisails TR16 7.0 - ERD 34

Perfect combo. Any ground made upwind on the tack basck to shore was a knee jarring excercice, baring off was a lot better.

day 2 of our trip to budgewoi - arraived around 9 am and to find a patchy 15-25 knot wind,

Decided to take out the 5.9 TRX and a 115 patrick as i was pretty sore and tired from thursday and just wanted to cruise.

Focused more on Alphas  with 1 or 2 bear aways thrown in when a big gust hit in the right place.

great  time staying with george again.

Some broken/cracked ribs i tnink.Would have been a lot worse if I wasnt wearing the impact vest.

Only a couple of wave guys and me out.

Remi was launching at about 4-15 as  I was driving off from the northerly end where I had driven down to to collect my gear.

That's no good John, hope for a quick recovery. You'll still have to come down to Botany for a chat and get your bottle of red Wink.

I saw a couple of branches here and there. The scary bit is that you cannot see a thing on the way back to shore with sun glare.

Nigel, let go of the boom with yoru hands while sailing Wink

Johnny, solve this formula:

# = b2

[ hint : b = br..k.w.y ]

'Johnny is a breakaway breakaway' (b squared)

Oh dear, John. Sounds like a terrible incident. It must've been traumatic to not only break your rig out there in a Southerly, but to be alone and badly injured at the same time. I feel for ya mate. Terrible! You'll be missed at the bay so come down for a yarn next time it's windy. I hope you heal up quickly. Cry

Hey George. Is the formula Johnny = Breakaways x 2 ? Or = breakaways squared? Please educate the clueless people like me. Innocent

Craig, fab alpha mate! That loks you into a good spot on the ladder. Cool

Remi... no hands? You know that old saying, "two hands for beginners". That applies to me Undecided Nice numbers today btw.

Great to see 2 big sessions in a row teamies

Your energy puts me to shame powersloshin. I'm stuffed after yesterday.

Nice numbers everyone.

Feel for you Slalomfreak. Its easy enough to fall and hurt yourself let alone collide and crash into something thats not supposed to br there. Get better soon as you can.
