On the water at 8.30. 10 to 15knts to start but kicked in nicely to 15 to 18knts at about 9.30.

Chased Jesper up to Majestics and had luck with the gusts on the way back to get three >26kn NMs.

NM PB with the big fin.

Had a try on the Severne Unit 7.5, noticeably light, thanks Ricey.  Half a dozen out today, super fun morning.

Majestic Point, IS107 CR7.7 CF44.  Even better than yesterday.  More wind, warmer, and more friendly faces.

Cruisy late morning outing.

Just enough to get going most of the time.

What a way to start a long weekend

Thanks to JJ for the trial of the 94 FSW *brd. Whacked in a 36 F1 and completed an epic Hr before giving it away just as the wind filled in.Embarassed

Really need to get a bigger board for winter!

Majestic Point, WA, AU iS111, 7.5T4, 40CF

A lovely warm sunny morning for April, with a big crew out at Majestics, much to the chagrin of the wedding party and guests who arrived to find all the car parking spots taken by windsurfers.

The wind picked up after rigging, with some strong gusts blowing through (seabreeze graph says gusts of 26 & 24 knots just after I set off). The gusts coupled with big gear and the lumpiest water I have been on in a long time made for some exciting moments midriver! I was somewhat overpowered in parts and had to go upwind because I couldn't sheet in.

A fun hour or so before the wind dropped out.

 1 = rigging, 2 = on the water, 3 = came in

Fun time trying a 7.5 Severne Unit (one cam below the boom) sail on a 460 RDM mast. Definately light and rotates like a dream, but not too stable in the gusts.

Then tried 7.5 Turbo on the RDM mast which went well. A bit heavier than the Unit but more stable and rotates well on the RDM. Had a couple of enjoyable runs up to Melville and back.

Nice to see Mark and JJ and discuss the merits of the Unit.

Hooksey! You were at Majestic Point? I could have given you your shirt!

Epic hour, Mark?

Nice naughty for the conditions JJ, and good backup by Hooksey. Were you two chatting in the shallows at Majestics when I came in to adjust my mast foot? Sorry I didn't come over and say hi. I wasn't giving you the cold shoulder, it's just my distance vision isn't that good and I didn't realise it was you until afterwards when Snides said JJ was up here earlier... Then I remembered thinking "that guy looks like JJ"

Forgot to incl details for my sesh. PD 135 slalom, loft race 8.6 and 46cm CL carbon. Havent been out in ages and it was great with some sun, wind etc. At time highly overpowered but all in all heaps of fun. Had fun sail up to the raffles and back down wind. @Anita - I did see you on the water but you'd gone back out when I derigged. Will have to grab the t-shirt next I see you :)
