Melville Beach, WA, AU

Its been 8 weeks since my last windsurf so it was great to catch up with a good few Pinna's. The day almost ended badly when I some how managed to lock my keys in the car, fortunatey Tom came to the rescue and had the door open in a few minutes.

Nice day for a winter sail. Plenty out and good to meet the snakeman. Wind was up and down but ok for a forearm burner. Mark was doing his best to educate Vince and myself on the finer arts of tacking. Looks easy onland, much harder on the water.

Ah, winter sailing what can I say. It was to get to get a session in! Been too long. Nice enough day all in all, always good to catch up with the team and was good to meet Mark for the first time today and see JJ again. Didn't get to try my new (2nd hand) iSonic, but I haven't had the turbo up in a while, it is nice light sail. Mark handed out a few needed tack tips to myself and Tim, it makes me realise what poor habits I must have been developing. In the secound session I had a crack witht he tips Mark gave. Good tips but I think I need more practice to refine them. Strap to strap jibes alos need a lot of work haha. Some fun little gusts. 8.6 Turbo 133 Techno 44 Canfire

Great day on the water @ Melville. Plenty of crew out and the wind even played ball for a while too. Really good to catch up with everyone and to finally meet Tim. Went for an hour straight off (Captain's orders! Surprised) and probably had about 50 minutes of OK, followed by 10 minutes of just doggin it. Sucha  shame as there was a 21 there for the taking! Had one bear away early on, out the back near Attadale, just to see what this rig could do in the right conditions and wow! That was fun! Can't wait for more of that. There must be a 34 or 35 there with the right conditions. Insanely good combo! Laughing

Big thanks to JJ for saving me when I found I'd run my car battery flat after charging my gps for the first 90 minutes before going out. It was really on it's last legs anyway so no dramas there. "You're going to have to move around" - JJ, asking me to move my dead car closer to his so the jumper leads would reach - Classic! I'm still laughing about that one! But thanks a bunch JJ, mega champion Cool

Melville Beach, WA, AU - 118L/8.5m/35cm

A good team outing today.

Arrived a bit too late then left a bit too early...pathetic. Should have used a bigger board.

Given wind conditions, I thought I would have better luck fishing, but got hit by a strong Westerly and arrived home wet without fish.
Not my day...

Still, beats the couch.

Been a long time...Melville at its gusty winter best.

Great to see so many of the team out!

Started off on JJs Goya One 105 with the 6.2 GE then a quick blat on JJ's yacht (M137 / 7.9 KA). Actually pretty even speeds on both!

You really need big gear in those conditions.

Nice going for marginal conditions, guys! Improved our score in three categories at least. Looks like it was a good team gathering down there too. Sorry I couldn't join you but by the time I was free the sun was gone and it was looking increasingly iffy. Thought I'd save my energy for tomorrow in case some wind develops.

Tailwind, welcome back!

Great session, Jake! Thanks for following instructions. Sorry the wind didn't.

Nice peak Jake, especially in those winds. About those beans, obviously my tactic of sticking clear tape on yours and Craig's fin didn't work.... this time.

Good to have you posting and sailing with the Mob again, Mark.

Welcome back, Obelix. One of these days you'll have a top 10 Melville day.

Nice alpha backup, Chris. I was hoping you had the chance to sail.
