Back to where it all started, the Marina. Sailed here for the first time in 1988 and then got back into speedsailing here in 2004. With outrigger piddlers in town taking over the Waterfront park it was back to this old favorite. My speedcourse from last year has been washed away by the bountiful winter snowpack and rains of 2016/2017. No sandbar to sail behind now so just a nice cruisy location to lay down some speed jibes. According to the old sat image in Google maps I was sailing on the sand today, the reality all that area is now under water again, just a sliver of sandbar to the west. Once it blows I should get some higher speeds but nothing to joke about!
