Sandy Point, Vic, AU

Its been a loooong time between sails and this day lined up with a recovery session from last nights parting Innocent at "The Thin Green Line" 10 yr anniversary

So this session is "How to recover from a hangover"

All The Pit Crew bailed on this session except Gary (I hope) who was sailing at Marlo.

The rest came up with lame excuses like "Ive got the plague and I'm dying", "Too much work", "Its too cold and the snow is great", "I'm overseas, doing loops and chasing women" As I said Lame Yell

As the only person on the water I had all the water and wind to myself and it was surprisingly warm and had to have a quick dip to cool off.

Ran the Sl52 with the 5.8 first up to get a feel for the conditions and played it safe given that its been awhile. Gusty and very SW so not a great speed day but great for just blasting up and down the inlet.

Wind picked up a few knots so onto the speed board with a new/old fin from Ant in Geelong. Ran the 23 sym as I wanted to run the course back to the car, but it was no faster either way. The fin felt super small compared to the 20 Ka but once powered up nice and slippery so it will be interesting to run it on a WSW. Had a nice tailwalk into one run which got the heart going but most of the runs ended to short into no wind due to the dunes at the bottom.

Played around with the GoPro so there may be a bit of vid to come latter

Jumped back onto the slalom board and chased 1hrs and Alpha till the fingers ran out of blood.

A nice way to finish the day.....must be time for a beer Cool

S 40 for the 2 sec/5x10

Sl 52 for everything else

Koncept 5.8

Fins MXR 24
