Andrew, Ken and regulars turning up to have a go.

Testing, choppy conditions but fun neverther the less.

No safe area to let her rip but excitement was there for sure.

Note to self to turn on GPS when disembarking from beach. Not later on...

Oh yes. Must use smaller sail to avoid being blasted off the water.

Top day with all who challenged the conditions.

Sans Souci, NSW, AU 20-30kt+ S || Exocet RS4, 6.2OD, 40 Select Ride

Dropped into Bestic to catch up briefly with Remi, John and George, then met Barks at the River. Stuggled to get it together with the sailing today, but it was nice to see some of the crew!

Overdone with the 6.2 in the chop, and in need of a smaller fin for the RS4.

Kyeemagh, NSW, AU. Nice 25Kn Southerly down at Bestic. 92L JP FSW, 5.3m wave sail. Didn't have the kahunas of George and Remi sailing massive slalom sails on slalom boards through the chop, but I had great fun 'bumping and jumping' (mostly jumping off Remi's wake as he went past me doing about 20kn quicker!!). George - you're a warrior!!

Kyeemagh gas station, NSW, AU || 22-28 S

Kode 94/ Koncept 5.8/ 28 Freewave fin (also 1 run with RS3 and Koncept 6.6)

Never sailed with that much wind and chop, usually go to flat water speed spots. Very scary first few runs, then the wind dropped a bit and I managed to get some control. Had to stop at every run, only made 3-4 jibes, but it was fun at times. Remi was going with a 7 !!

You looked a lot happier than me, Jules !! Next time will try a wave sail too.   Good job Barks ! Andrew in those conditions you should have tried a smaller board like the isonic 94.

Don't know how Andrew manages such testing conditions with such a big fin. He is a champion!

Cheers Barks. Think I need a bit of help with fin selection though.... might look into a good carbon Slalom around 38cm and a free ride fin of the same size...🧐

Andrew, the 40 fin is definitely too big for these conditions but 38 wouldn't make a big difference. Max was on 7.0 on his 115 with a 34 fin and still getting airborne... The RS3 would have been a better choice.

George, inspirational seeing you braving the conditions on 6.6 and full on slalom kit.
