Liptons, Fabulous sail, best part was gybing at 36/37kts, has to be the best feeling in windsurfing for meCool Mistral Speed 55/95 TR16 6.3m Pepeweed 22/48

One disadvantage of losing weight (7 kgs) is that it's hard to hold down the power on my 6.3m in the gustsEmbarassed

Another fun fangys sail, enough water to launch from Sbend, and a reasonably steady wind.

Nice to catch up with Morts, and joined by Fin and Fangy.

Used the new 6.2, 53cm board with 20cm fin @55d, towards the end ithe wind picked up and I was tempted to change to the 48cm board, but didn't want to incurr fangys wrath if the wind subsequently died.

Fangy was flying!!!!!! So I probably did the right thing for a change.

Bob came up to join me for some more joint punishment at Safety Bay. Went out on the 115 to start with thinking it wasnt going to get much more than 20kn, soon as I launched the wind kicked and kept building till my ankles couldnt take any more. came in for a chat and decided I couldnt be bothered changing sails so just went down to the 92. Proved to be a good choice and had a nice powered up but shortish run on it ending up with a nice NM for the conditions and including a gybe. Saw Bob do a few screaming runs across the bay and he looked to be having fun when he wasnt tail walking. Loving the twin cam sail in the chop, its just so easy to handle.

Glory Holes, Australind, WA, AU. FF89/GPS6.0/VWS25. Got to the water late to catch the tail end of the wind. over optimistic with rig choice, was underdone. Hung around for a while hoping it would swing south and pick up again, but it never did.  Nice work Joe and Fangsta Cool Nice alpha SluggerCool

You'll be right Millpond, with you & Cap'n Calm on site it will be lucky to reach 15 knots. What a load of codswallop! I needed 20 less litres of board & at least half a meter less sail area. Still it was good fun to be out with the Cap'n, Fangy & Fin, even warm enough to wear a springsuit Smile

The run through the channel of smooth is awesome fun!

Carlisle St, Safety Bay, WA, AU

Thanks for the shout out Roger. I got to Safety Bay thinking I'll just do some long runs across the bay in the deep blue, got to the waters edge and thought wow how clears this water, it's gonna be a great day. But it was windy and choppy, my sail was perfect but I was having trouble keeping my board on the water. After a few runs I realised everyone was gone so I called it off and went in, Rog was changing boards but the others at the time like me gave up. Later mr smarter than me (Roger) said did you put you base forward, na I had it nearly all the way back, no excuses but next time I'll use a pointer and have the base forward.

At one stage while yacking someone said wow look at Roger, FMe Swindy was flying through the rough, sail racked back and board doing what the master says, class act mate Cool

Fangyland with some other reprobates. Good fun session!

Vintage Mistral Flow, KaR7.1 FangyFin 22

Yeehaa! Exams are finished and there is a sea breeze. The only thing that could wrong? Millpond and Cap’n Calm are both on-site… Surprisingly, the breeze didn’t evaporate entirely, but I was unconvinced, so I went with the Barge and KaR7.1.

That became very tiring very quickly, but I thought the Cap’n might still get a small board out on put it on the beach and use that to dissuade any breeze of substance. In the end several 34 knot squirts on the Barge had me sneaking in to grab the old Missy Flow.

Good times straight away. The FF22 and 7.1Ka is such a nice combo, but in the gusts going uphill, I was starting to find the top end of the fin. I did spare a thought for Millpond who had gone big on the sail size after making the fatal mistake of thinking I knew what I was talking about.

The breeze had a fair chunk of west and I found it difficult to get keep sail pressure on my preferred down hill course and I was surprised to see some good numbers on the GPS. In fact good enough to call it, a Top Five Fangy Day :-)

Lake George, SA, AU

SSW 14-20 knots-Fanatic Falcon 111-Koncept 6.2m-Select Elite S11 37.5cm

Best session this year by far and that's after starting on a 70 litre JP 2009 SL 54, underdone and beached near spit end taking an eternity to return to base to change boards.

Once on FF111 was ALL smiles sailing with Jamie. Plenty of water and on sailing into those weed patches goes pretty damn flat. Sailing 100 kms on Lake George is equivalent to 50 kms at Boggy Lake in terms of effort required.

Where the cluster of x4, 5x10's is about where one of those weed patches is growing.

Nice going fellas.  It was a fun arvo in the weed....    Will post numbers when I get back, but I dont think theres much to

write home about.

OK,... Im back and got my numbers up. Just put some tape on the sail to hold it together caus I found some holes in it!!!!

Had the 48 board, KA kon5.8, and 55/16.5 weedy, which went among the weeds very well but went drifting a bit in the chop.

Oh, did I say how much fun was had,  Laughing    Cool

Hardie loosing weight is the best thing you can do,  keep it up and you can easily run smaller sails with no drag more speed and so easy to flick around ,

i'm on the diet thing and bike riding too and wow is the sailing so easy and enjoyable. keep it up mate. Smile

Nice speeds. Great video, Fangy! Looks like we will have to re-consider what sailable water looks like Smile. Nina did not like the look of that at all, but I think she'll get over it when she stops throwing herself face-first into the water all the time. We've started the Xmas calenders early this year to count down - 20 chocolates left to go!

See ya soon Peter, but best not tell Nina that freestyling in the weed is now very likely to bring her face to face with some rather antisocial crabs too.

Sweet alphas Bunno boys, but crikey Stretch couldn't ya let me bask in the glory of a 2-second jellybean for more than half an hour for a change?

Firie- great job teaching Swindy how to park properly, it's refreshing to see him parking the van on land again.Laughing

PJ, they are the equivalent of crop circles. Pretty sure they were made aliens...or Cap'n Calm which when I think about it, is probably one in the same.
