Swindy (10125km): Safety Bay, WA, AU Pat SL92, SCR6.3, Tectonics weed demon 29 Great way to finish the year. I was going to go foiling but the wind came up far more than expected and was well powered up on the 6.3. Much lumpier today than it has been in recent weeks as the tide was a bit higher. Happy with the speeds down the weed bank which was far from flat today and was hoping for a better nm but got baulked by a kitesurfer half way down, I could have gone down wind of him but you never know what they are going to do. This year has ended far better than it started for me. In fact it has been a year from hell. This last week has been much better due to some new medication that actually seems to work. I must not get too excited yet but there may be some light at the end of the tunnel for me. Have a great night everyone. May there be lots of sparkles in the sky tonight. | ||||||||||||||||||

Morts (16066km): Liptons, Peel Inlet, WA, AU 6.2 Koncept, JP Slalom 102 + FF22
Bew Years Eve sail with Bugs, Joe, Mike, Nina & Peter
The power of Millpond can even kill the wind at Liptons
Thought I'd got around the shallow stuff at Point Grey, I was mistaken! Everything seems to be still intact.
Happy New year to all the Mobsters & those on GPSTC
Great news Roger! Hope the new meds sort the dizzy spells out for you I guess you'll keep going with Botox purely for vanity reasons?

Elmo (31413km): JP SLW, NP Search 5.0m, NP RSX MWS. Second use of the 5.0m wave sail, second Tsunami created by the sudden impact of yours truly. Great session cut short because of abuse to my legs from sailing cycling and reticulating, far kimme I'm old and unfit. Still amazed to be foiling with a 5m wave sail, it actually is realy quite comfortable whenthe harness lines are in the right spot. Now the bit everyone gets excited about, the dent. I changed my harness lines and mast foot postion as per Darryls instruction so I can lean out from the sail. Anyhooos I got a nice flight going, I'm leaning out nicely, the good ship muppet is flying downwind verry nicely indeedy doo. Still leaning out hanging of the side of the board, we're hitting warp 3 (20 knots) a gust hits, the board angles a bit, the board goes upwind all of a sudden and launchs temporarily skyward, just to gain greater momentum for it's downward plunge, resulting in the red fur flying everywhere. Other than that it was awesome fun apart from the legs but some more masocistic sailing and cycling should sort that out by June 2021. Best session ever.
Happy new year everyone, may your free time line up with: Clean wind A leave pass Flat water And most improtantly A great crew to appreciate it with!.
Huge congrats to Team Lake Macquarie for a great win!

Decrepit (54506km): Hui playing tricks again or was it Millpond????? Wind was 16 gusting 18 when I arrived at Liptons, so rigged the 6.6, and 21cm@55 fin on the 53. Then of course the wind started to pick up, I was getting 18 gusting 20, Bugs went out on his 6.6, came back and said there was enough for him on his 6.0. So changed my mind and went for the 6.2 with 20cm fin. When I got to the water, Bugs, Hardy and Morts were in a starting line up waiting for wind. Not a good sign!
So I joined them, and spent the rest of the session wishing I'd stayed with my first choice. Nina was flying around as usual, but Peter was wallowing with too small a board, as was Hardy, the culprit though seemed to be going quite well. I suspect Morts is used to wind dying and has learned to cope with it.
At least the two visitors got a glimps of the Liptons potential, and where to go.
