Finally I've cracked the big 30 on home ground....... nice feeling, and didnt feel at all difficult today.

Was getting used to a new Overdrive M2 6.2m. Felt extremely nervous as last time I used a cammed sail, I was knocked out, landed on the sail and spent 3 hours drifting in to the shore while being dizzy and vomitting from the head injury. Cracked my helmet that day, so was very hesitant to say the least.

But all went well, sail performed nicely and all I need to do is get the settings tweaked and some nice times will flow I'm sure.

Day was topped off by sightings of 4 white pointers from two tourists enjoying the sunshine Cool Sharks everywhere here Stretch!!

Another sesh in a pretty brutal at times wind. Last time i was super comfy and that was what i was hoping for, NOT! I came in and adjusted clew to bottom hole and that transformed the sail, I didnt need to sheet out in the gusts. Really happy with the sail but wonder how an EVOXI would go. It was too brutal to do propper bear aways but Im thinking about them now. All speed across the wind. Much harder in the rough water trying to gybe hence the poor result.

Out with Chris (short runs) Drew & Steve on his shiny new 6.2 OD. Taps showed up for a while but hes still not on the team. We mus all be too fast. Great seeing Drew totally over cooked on a 7.2 wave sail, he handled it very well on the Carve 111.

I had a tech issue when i put my foot through my footstrap (again) and subsiquently had a soft crash which broke my bottom batten (again). All good tho as ill use a longer screw and keep an eye on the screws more frequently and sleeve the batten too.

Nice being out with crew and nice to have the strong wind too.
