Unknown Location Bogan (10902km): Largs Bay, SA, AU. Couldn't make it to the el Bog today. So, sailed local. Drift about + 1 planing run. https://www.ka72.com/Track/t/374433
Sellicks Bogan (7203km): Nice little sail on Boggy today, rigged the 6.2 R8 used the 97 Isonic and 32 LW, was out of control in the first 20 mins, had a big spill launching off a ramp unintendedly. dusted myself off and kept going up to the flat stuff. Happy with a few runs, good to catch up with the usuals and a few extras I havent seen before, boggy was full of color today, great to see.
Choco (14530km): Lake George Umm went out with the 5.6-speed board from the 5 mile took me 5 miles to get to the wind line and found out the wind well what wind, spent an hour trying to get going and drifted further out until I though Fark it and walked all the way back in, plugged the isonic 87 and 19cm lockwood speed weed and went back out and started to get a few rides in the gusts, ended up down near the spit and played around in the large area of weed near the islands and spit. Got a few good runs with no real power off the wind very impressed with 5.6's efficiency, the 19cm lockwood weed just didn't let go and the board was sweet as can't wait to use this setup in some real wind. The wind started dying off and I was a long way from the 5 mile, started walking then sailing in the small gusts more walking and after an hour or so made it back. Spent 40% waiting for wind but still managed a few k's, the book "Scenic Lake George Walks" will be out soon, collected enough material
Canadian Casey (2167km): Long day sailing was in the water around 11 and back out at 5ish, feeling sore today. Got in early whislt the wind was good on the 5.8SCrace then as it dropped switched over to a twin cam 6.5 (need to upgrade this one) Big turn out. Boggy Lake, SA, AU |
