Sandy Point, Vic, They say the Pit sorts then men out from the mouses? Well all I've got to say to that is "Squeak, Squeak"Embarassed  The wind was too strong too light, too broad too square,  and just once it was just rightSurprised, My mast base tendon came apart after first run heading back to green buoy, nice long swim, wind was wsw but mostly west, then sw at the end. It ranged from 10 to 40kts, THE FEELING I experienced was one minute sail is too big, next sail is too small and was like that for 2i/2 hours.  Yell I could've rigged 5 sails (7m 6.3m 5.8m 5.5m and 5.0m) and all wouldve been good at one stage.  The tide came rushing in and that was it. You've got to give a massive credit to the Pit Crew who have mastered this place, Daffy, Kato, Spotty, Matt, Mr Love et al, wow what great sailors they areCool I feel totally inadequate for this placeFrown

Lake George, SA, AU - SW 20-25 pushing 28 sometime

Early AM session with Daffy, we had a pretty rough night here, rain and wind.

Started N side of the Spit on the 47, after 2 run already my forearms was sore and hard as and could not pushed the end runYell !!, then moved to S side wiz the slam for some fun and ease on the weed bank, and some run the long the shore to the top where the others were.. great session all together Cool

Surprised in good for that direction, I though would be crap, but it wasnt. We timed it very well, no rain, even got the sun at the end,

Happy Days Smile

No-one else out, couldn't work off any of the experienced locals and what they'd do in these conditions such as what to rig, where to take off when to go blah blah

Well done regardless Hardie and a fair drive from LG. I saw the place in August after sailing there 30 years ago. The dunes have made the place very different with a heaps shorter run and it looked like it would be super gusty and hard to sail now. Congrats to all that still do well there.
