Shoalwater WA.

Foil at shoalwater. No GPS. It done the 10 day trick on me and no cable in my van to kick it back into life. Stronger than i was expecting and overdone on a 5.4 but a mixture of fun and scary. Weed was a bit of an issue as well on some of the runs. First time getting wet for a couple of weeks so cant complain.

That was exactly the reason why I got a foil.

The session was a bit confusing to start with, The wind had picked up at my place, the drive over the cut had the water looking like glass, Novara had a very light breeze.

After much procrastination the wind picked up and after I'd rigged the 7m I was having second thoughts as there were whitecaps about, a quick measure of the wind had it 9-13 knots.

Stroppo managed to sacrafice me to the wind gods today and fortunately I was pleasantly surprised that I had rigged pretty well spot on apart from boom height, mast track position and harness line position, but other than that all felt good apart from the headache from the remnants of the headcold felt like I was being stabbed in the head when I pumped the sail and just plain hurt the rest of the time.

But other than that. it was immense fun, just cruising around in the middle of the estuary, think the longest chug was for about 45secs other than that it was all flight time. Unfortunately the headache filnally gotthe better of me so I flagged it.

Just sailing for the pure pleasure off sailing and I can honestly say it was pure pleasure. Numbers are irrelevant in comparison to the smile size.
