BEST SESSION EVER

Got up this morning to find it smokey outside from the burning off and calm, so pretty much had today written off, got the text from Stropp that he was down there.

So went and loaded up only to have my eldest rock up and block me in, when he left I toddled down the hill to find the Stropp and the Bob chatting away but no sails rigged. I joined the conversation for a buit til we notcied some white caps in the distance.

I went the 7.8m and was a bit concerned with my selection, I also was planning to experiment with shifting the mast foot back a chunk so I would be forced to get some more load on the front foot.

I went out expecting to be heading back in rather quickly but soon found that the set up was entirely managable, sure I was overpowered for most of the session but with the mast foot back I already had the front foot loaded for when the bullets hit, That and climbing upwind to use some of the excess power made things quite nice.

Eventually I was quite a way's upwind and thought I'd better go down wind for a bit so I sent it from the northern end an Ohhh Mama was that sweet, down wind and just gliding along, thought I'd get some decent naughty's but ended up being just short on all of them.

So rince repeat that was what I ended up doing for the day upwind downwind it was awesome fun.

Bob was getting some great runs going and making some huge dents in the water (The Elmo is strong in this one) but just kept getting up and doing it al over again.

Stropp was being Strop and breezing all over with his new foil, pretty happy I managed top stealth him.

Got a full hour on the water till the wind just shut down.

Top session, awesome fun, capped of when the discordant sound of Greensleeaves played through a shitty speaker came down the street, Thankfully it wasn't Slugger but Mrs Whippy, Great sessioin and an icecream, how good is that.

Oh forgot about the juvinile Ofsprey that kept me company on one run, flying at mast height less than 10m away from me, pretty cool

Franks @ Dawesville - Foil

Fun fun fun, I've never had so many crashes and had so much fun. My foiling's improving every time but man when I get a bit of speed I'm off to kooksville, more crashes today than the whole Kamakaze airforce, I don't think I have ever uphauled more times in one session. Shit I don't care as when I'm flying it's loads of fun. If you look at my tracks you'll get the idea, bigger mess than a mad woman's breakfast Laughing

Great morning session with Strop and Elmo, lots of yack yack, so nice to be able to get on the water as there'd be no chance with my slapper. 4th short foil in 5 days, cool.

The dead set highlight was the dophin swimming under my board, even turning on his side to check me out, maybe thinking did you make that big splash before. This was no quick zip in and off, he/she did it for a fair way, so cool Tongue out

Big board, foil, 6.6 Koncept and still boardies

Unknown Location, Whitnall Bay Burrup Peninsula, Fantastic Sup Wsurf, used Robin's 10'8" SUP with a 5.2 Ezzy wavesail, and just cruised around the Bay, forgot how good that sort of windsurfing can be.  For anyone interested in knowing where Whitnall Bay is I have posted on KA72 so you can check the google earth image out there.

Me and Sludge were too busy working to watch from the balcony but we did see Bob on a flying run followed by a big splash. Great going guys. We may be out tomorrow afternoon after another hard day chippying.
