Mallacoota, VIC, AU That was frustrating, the only place the wind didnt come from was directly above from the great man himself. Lots of waiting for the gusts and lots of walking. still fun.

Inverloch A45, Vic

What a BLAST!

I decided not to sail the PiT on my own as the wind was too west again.  Met Kato and Ado at A45. waited for a while untill the tide started to expose the sand bar and got on the water just before 6.30pm and off at 7.20pm.

The wind was almost dead West for the first few runs and they were the fastest with a short run down the just exposed bank and then a few seconds out into the channel and chop. On two of thse the GW-60 said over 41 peaks!

After a while the wind went slightly more south and it was hard to get a good bearaway as one had to go a lot further out into the channel and chop.

I pushed it too hard coming back over the chop following that young madman Ado, and had a hard crash. After that i only did a couple of half hearted runs and retired to speed another day. Embarassed

I recon I found the sweet spot on the 5.2m  rigging today. More downhaul than I would have normally used and a slightly different mast and it was great!

It was such a high, and back on the shore we were raving like school kids and revelling in the wild winds. Great fun! I'm still on a high! Laughing

WOW, that was so much FUN .

Not as much water as I had hoped but enough bank for a play. First run with the very new Martin Love Slalom Fin.....WOW .

2 run WOW and OPPS...... found the bank edge at 20 plus kts....A bit sore but no damage.

Spent the rest of the session off the bank blasting through the chop trying to find the fins weak spots......Failed ,as hard as I pushed the fin held firm. Even in the confused crap we sail in, the board ratteled but the fin just tracked perfectly and quick.

Even tried some big table top jumps with no issues.

A bit woolly out there and great hanging out with the mates.

Daffy gets the Cast Iron Cannackers Trophy for going deep in the chop to get a 40!
