Now I know what Mike was talking about when he said he sailed into some thick seaweed. Ha! What a laugh, scooting along and bam, head over heels into a thick mass of matted slime. Tried to walk out of it but ended up having to bodydrag until I could get going againSurprisedI've never experienced anything like it before and the gargantuan sword of a fin didn't do me any favours.

Ahh Vic, welcome to the world of the snot berg.

Best bet is to body drag yourself out twisting your hips so your hook is up till the snot slides down your body.

Beware of birds standing on the water.

Sounds like you hit my weed island, not a lot of fun. Yep agree, body drag is the easiest and quickest way out. You can't walk or sail in that stuff unless you have a shallow highly raked fin. The stuff I hit would probably let a 20cm fangy fin through, but very slowly.
