Glory Holes, Australind, WA, AU CA66 CA96 freeride Mistral speed 95 KAR5.5 and fangys 18s &19 Wind was up and down but it improved in the afternoon. Started on ca66 then as the wind got up went to the freeride 96 First try on the ca96 and it was easy in the choppy stuff. My gybes weren’t. Too buggered after the weekend .Lachy and more sailers arrived with the stronger wind. Enjoyed the sail even if I didn’t do anything spectacular except getting blown clear out of the water at about 30 knots by a mega gust. Fared much better that a kiter who was taken away all strapped up. Also got taught a lesson on speed sailing by the other mobsters and strop, they were QUICK .

Pat 100L/ 87L 5.5m and 6.3m maui fangy22 tribal 23

Had a great sail with Peter, Lachy, Glen and later Craig good to catch up with Noel.

Started on the 5.5m but mast went through the head need a repair so went with the 6.3m which was good but tough in the gusts. The water level was really good well worth the trip.

Lachy the lionheart was making light of the conditions and flying around Cool

Left Glen and Craig flying in some big gusts late on.Cool

Thanks for the loan of your spare towel Peter would of been along drive home otherwise Smile

Yunbas with Scud and Dan. Picked up my beaut new WT Cruise from Dan and mucked around getting things just right. The only problem was I under estimated the wind speed and went out way over powered and over finned. That was very uncomfortable and I couldn't bear away at all. I came in for more downhaul and downsized the fin to the FF20. This was much better but I was still overdone and I could not really send it. Mast foot too far forward, front hand too far forward trying to choke the power down a bit plus the odd sphincter frightening berg lurking here and there. I really didnt want to cactus the board on its virgin outing!

Both Scud and Dan both seemed pretty comfortable, The Scud pushing the envelope hard when it came to runs into the shallows!

The new board was fab. I was instantly at home - it was sorta like getting a production board that felt like a custom board. I cannot wait to get it fully dialled in and point the toes big time on both choppy and smooth. Sorry Pacey, what ever the benchmark is, its toast.  Foot in mouthLaughing

And big hats off to Neil - I friggin love this board!

Good one mad ones Cool

My rubber was far too short or thick enough to even think about it, instead it was coffee and home made apple cake with Rog, and just talking about windsurfing, and how good we were once Laughing

Being able to use 'small' fins is one of the advantages of a skinny tail that i like the most Sue. Laughing  (I think the board is only mid 30 ish wide at 30cms from the tail) But to be fair, the 6.6 was just producing too much lateral force for the FF20 at lower speeds and I really struggled to get uphill at the rate I would have liked.

Yeah Tricky,  I am used to Care Factor=Zero with my old indestructible plastic fantastic boards, so it's a whole new world having to look after a board again! (and be able to lift it up with out assistance Laughing)
