Peter Daish (26030km): murray mouth, SA, AU. nice saillwith Stash. 7.0 gun GSR 91 mistral slalom, 29 weed speed. 20 to 25 knots tide not quite right with too much water coming in so couldnt line up fast fro the speed run . Watch the video later and youll see the hectic water before the line up!! dredges were a pain today as well but still some super smooth water to be had just needed to be in right spot at right time. Beautiful spot the mouth despite the ecological disaster going around us with the dredges.
Captain skip bogan (50112km): Wow what a day - Angry boggy. Day 2 with a strong forecast, Mid morning Dark clouds, wind and rain rolled in. Rigged the 5.6 to be powered up on the top reed bank. The gusts were somewhere in the 30's and the water farken choppy. Used the 25cm vector weed speed for some speed runs off the wind and was a bad decision with the amount of wind and water state. Had some fun runs up the top with Sam but almost had 3 almost big stacks with the fin stepping out - managed to save them all but it certainly was scary moments and dented the ego and hurt the mojo lol. We decided while in one piece we should head back but were both dredding the chop and wind on the downwind run. Sam did well and got back in 3 runs and i did it in 5 and the run to the shore was insane - managed a 33 odd peak with just the fin in the water - luckily no spin outs and my 2nd best 10 second run. We called it then - great day - note to self run the slalom fins if choppy and windy lol. Patrik 87 / Loft blade 5.6 / Vector weed speed 25.
