Corpus Christi, Grassy Point. RB 5.0, W54/72l, TSD 19. Alone on the water for 50 minutes until Peter finally got his stuff together. Best wind was during this time, but I did not want to push it all alone, miles from the launch.

Corpus Christi, Grassy Point (which is not really grassy anymore, all the seaweed apparently dies in January's cold spell). Started rigging to iWindsurf meter readings of 29 and 30 mph, so picked the 5.6 for a change. Unfortunately, the boom clamps needed replacing, so had to drive back to the Airbnb for parts. When I got back 15 minutes later, readings had dropped to 27, so took the bigger board (Falcon 99) out. Searched a long time for flat water, and finally found a couple of hundred meters flat enough to allow for deeper downwind runs without bouncing over chop. Caught a lucky gust when showing Nina the spot, so got a bit faster than yesterday, despite being on a smaller sail in what by then was less wind (23 mph averages, 29 gusts). Tried a few alphas in the flattish area, but went to wide (65 m) on the only decent jibe.
