Boggy Lake, SA, AU

Wind ranged from light, hard to get planning to strong and overpowered on the 7.8. Fun day and good to see a few people out.

Boggy 10 to 22 knots

Started super under powered but then it changed and was super overpowered, needed to be on a 7.0 or 6.3 with my 97 litre, but was tired and had to go, great fun after a neck injury, so pretty stoked still.

Rrd 114, gun 7.8, 40cm bp r type

Stansbury. This place was forecast to explode today. My day started when I got woken up by a gust whacking my bedroom window like a magpie flying into it, and stewning my gardening tools and watering can all over the pergola floor. So, as you can imagine, I got really excited thinking of small gear. A pre-sail meeting with Hoppy and Tricky took place, and I copied their concept of going out on the biggest sail I had. But, my big delta fin would not fit in my board, and I knew the next fin size down (which did fit in board) caused spin out problems with biggest sail. So, ended up rigging KARace 5.5, Patrick 92 and MUF 20. I concur with Hoppy; wind did not get over 20 kts. Wind was holely, but the wind angle was pretty novel, although wind changed direction a few times (so did my tack directions). The session theme was 1 hrs, but due to my gear, I just sailed where it was windy. My alpha is PB at this spot. Thanks for the beers Tricky. Thanks for the trash talk Hoppy Cool. Well done Tricky for beating Hoppy. We thought it was the other way around. Well done for getting the hr for the team.

Boggy Lake, SA, AU 10 to 15 then 20 knot gusts.

Fun arvo sesh with a good crew.

Light wind for most of the sesh and cranked at the end so called it.

Yeah Mobz, it was so good going off Cockys and then sailing a bit down wind  between the islands, almost perfect wind. 😎
