Albany, WA, AU. Dawn patrol.  Window of tide opportunity was much smaller today so started early. The Dog wanted to sleep in but also sail so woke him as I went out and he promised to join.  Raining and cold.  Since quick look at broken canard data from yesterday showed potential went out with this and the butchered board but this time with the FF22 Eagle.    By 2nd lap most of the smooth had gone but wind was not as strong as previous day.   Thought tide would keep on rising like yesterday and turn into chop fest but seemed to stabilise.

The Dog eventually came out and seemed he would stick around for an hr as planned and we crusied around for a bit.   The fin hit something hard but didn't dare stop to inspect so kept going till Rondog looked like calling it.  Seems he chickened out thinking wind would die.  Wind didn't die but since I'd done my hr called it too to not sail alone.  Inspecting the fin and all the Eagle feathers had been cut clean off with the 3D print remaining intact.

102 RRD Xfire FF22 Eagle with broken rotating canard.

Ant you could consider going to the train [southport parklands boat ramp] tomorrow instead of Shearwater

The train is about 5km south of Shearwater

Its also pretty busy, but less tide to contend with, has nice rigging area plus close access to the water

Cheers TK

Ant I can't make it Thursday, but be sure to park in the Blue Line area, [refer to my KA72 track today for blue line parking location]

These parks are free and close to water

There should be others sailing tomorrow, wind should be a better direction 🤞
