4337 days ago Pt Walter. Got there and it was nuking. Mark was there assessing the underwater jetty. Tide was really high so not much sand bar left. Rigged the 5.1m on the Mistral 41 and a 21sym fin. Was looking epic and I had a good feeling. Getting smashed on the way out and did a couple of runs for tuning, missing all but one gust which I wasnt tuned for- getting a 39 unhooked into the cross chop. After that the wind backed off a bit but there were still some nice bullets. Got it all set up ready to roll and my mast snapped on the outside in the middle of freshwater bay. Took an hour to swim back watching the last, and best of the wind fading away. When I got back I rigged the 6.2m E3 and the Mistral 47 with 23 asy hoping it would come back but it was pretty much done aside from some short bullets and squalls. Missed all of them but got another 39 in the dregs so pretty happy with that. Both setups were rocking today. Cant wait for some steady wind. Absolutely stoked with the boards. They both felt magic. Good to have another wally session with the crew.
