Sailquik (29582km): A bit of a bonus today as it didn't look all that good on the forecast and even when we started there was only 15-18 knots and we went out on the 5.8's and slalom boards just to test GPS's. After only a few runs the wind suddenly started to build and I ran back to rig the 5m and get the iSonic50. As the day progressed it got better and eventually there were some gusts in the high 20's. iSonic 50, KA Lockwood 20cm assy, 5m Koncept. Just as well we signed Tom up as we will jump up a few places in the 2sec and 5 x 10 sec when he posts. | ||||||||||||||||||
Tom Chalko (688km): The forecast was for the wind to drop so I held on to my 5.8 sail. The wind did not drop. Andrew swapped to 5.0 and was much more comfortable coming back upwind. For this reason he did many more runs than me and caught better gusts. |
