Sick_em_rex (12256km): First time on the water since doing my knee so very tentative. Held up ok though and funnily enough I'm even walking better since my sail. I rigged way too big, had a Koncept 5.8 up when I should have had a 5.0. Board was my Falcon 90 which was too big and at the moment I'm too unfit. All good though that I'm back on the water and ready for the Pit trip. Was awesome seeing Sam and Rick FLYING down the bank. I was 30ft away from Sam when he did a 40 knot run and it was fasssssst. My dumb Foretrex is playing up now too so looks like I'll grab a GT before the trip. It won't read from the com port hence my 1 posted speed cause that's what was displayed at the end of my session.
Bossman (14551km): St George sailing club, wind south 25 -30 knots, 6am start. JP Slalom Pro 69 III, NP RS6 5.4, Tectonics F-1 28. strong rain and a bit choppy.
Sam Parker (1288km): Nice early start again. Set the alarm for 5am got to the beach just after 6 and almost didn't go out as the rain was so bloody heavy. Gear was Naish SP60, RS Racing 5.4 and fins were C3 Venom 26 for most of the session then I swittched to the TM 45 for the last few runs. Wind was 20-30 from dead south which made the running down the bank a little square but it well worth the cold and early start to get some decent runs in. Boss Man is still down there with the wind picking up butunfortunately the bank has gone now. He had some good runs though and looks the goods for another 40 peak. |
