the new guy (37314km): Kyeemagh NE 20-28 JP Slalom 84, NP Alpha 4.7, 30cm Select Viper fin Woohoo! Another PB! Finally reached another milestone: the 20 knot alpha. I love this board. I'm sorry to keep gushing, I'll stop soon, I promise. Two sessions on the board and two PBs - It's making me look better than I am! The wind was really gusty today, and some holes started to appear later on. I tried a couple of runway bearaways, but they just weren't working. I think the tide was running in and the chop along the runway was nasty. Top 2 sec speed was a beam reach. I Had a few slalom races organised by Des. Great fun and great waterstart practise! The chop and carnage at the outer mark was something to see. It was great to see quite a few cockroaches out today. Pete, you gotta get sorted with a gps - you can take mine for a burn next time and get some points on the board. Here's the tracks. There's a massive exclusion zone around the desalination plant. The sooner it's finshed, the better!

Sean Dayhew (8784km): kyeemagh, 20-28knots, possibly 30+ at times, choppy hypersonic 105, goldwing 32, daytona 6.0
| ||||||||||||||||||
Tim Ford (8857km): wicked session on botany bay. started with 5.8 global and 118 JP switched to 5.3 combat and 110 JP then back to the 5.8 and 118 JP for the last hour. Did not make one race jibe but did make plenty while sailing about As said above way too much board for the conditions, one day ..........
Larko (11468km): Finally a strong sea breeze. Quite over powered at times, board too big but not enough time to change over. Found a short bit of flattish water (20cm chop). Just good to be constantly powered up and it lasted a bit longer after work. Falcon 111, 36cm JP and 6.7 RS Racing Evo 1.
Bossman (14551km): Kyeemagh NNE 25-30 knots JP Slalom Pro IV 60, Neil Pryde RS Racing 6.2, Tectonics F1 30. Too much chop and too much north for the runway. Too much board, too much sail.

Sick_em_rex (12256km): wow, strong and gusty. I only had a 5.0m Koncept up but even that was too big at times. Think I'll spend this summer fattening myself up so I can actually keep my board on the water. I wasn't confident enough to grit my teeth and go for it. Rick you are a legend mate, I wish I had cahoonies as big as yours and the ability mind you. Your speeds today were incredible considering the conditions. And Michael great work on the alpha, it's always good to get a pb at anytime. Good fun doing the slalom racing although it was very very testing. Made me realise I still have a very long way to go to be able to compete. Lastly, I cannot believe that for my last 4 sessions I have done virtually the same distance eveytime. I'm beginning to think I may have wrong figures but then again, it could just be a coincidence. Edit* just updating my correct distances |
