5700 days ago Possibly the smallest speed strip in Australia but one of the nicest. Spent easter on Great Keppel Island and took the boat around the corner to the only headland that didn't completely kill the wind. Flat water section around 200metres before chop and swell became too much. Wind was very patchy with headland. Nm includes two gybes in it. None the less it was an enjoyable sail albeit brief. Sailing by myself with no one within cooee was slightly intimidating as it would have been a long swim back to yeppoon if any gear breakage happened out wide in the deeper channel.
