Tried out a different spot today at Armstrong Beach, South of Sarina. Had a really nice sail the chop was only half what I usually get though there's a few holes in the wind, will definately come back when stronger or Nly breezes come..  Another big gear day with 15-20 SSE, Supersport 118, RAM7.8, SS42 fin.

kurrimine Beach with Herby....about 4 hrs on water....morning session on HoppyBob's 129l Screamer and the arvo on my 105l with 5.9 Loft 02    Big change of wind direction about lunch time.

Woohoo... a PB.    kurrimine Beach....By lunch time I had 50k up.      By 4pm it was 101k and I just about stuffed....a couple of chewy bars and a can of coke and back out....  the dusk wind kept dying and if I had missed my last jibe I would have had a long swim and walk.

Gotta admit that at the end I was just flopping off in my jibes and maybe hallucinating.

Crazy windy rough day greenisland.f2 sx 4.7 aerotech 2cam slalom 31cm select viper.Too much easterly to get real speed -easterly generates rolling swell /chop over eastern speed area...

Step dad dr cam says should have used smaller fin/bigger sail ??

Great to be back on Green is after 6/12 in brissy -start my studies down there in July ...

Better times to come I hope -Izaak & Jordan -look out !!

Hey Doc, the supersport is pretty good, in hindsight I should have gone straight to a full slalom board but though this would handle chop better. It takes a bit to unstick it sometimes but overall is a pretty decent board. I think I'll bring a smaller board to Green tho

Yep Firie, paradice alright, just fluked the set-up today and had everything in perfect balance, could have sailed all day if the tide would stop going out!!

Good to hear a keen young'n inthe mix.

Lyn and Herb, you are legends. Great effort and I bet was a brilliant day at Kurri. I reckon Lyn must be putting something onto those sandwiches. Was peeved that even at Mission there was wind and I was digging footings for a fence. Yell

Welcome Locky, great start to the comp and let it rip.

Welcome to the team Locky, I'll be back on Sunday so should be able to catch up for a sail sometime. You'll have to go out to G.I. with Firie next time and show him how to get speeds without hitting the reef.

Congratulations Lyn and Herb, looks like you had a great sail. You nearly got me on distance Herb, I'm hoping to get a decent session in soon and push my PB up a bit higher.
