Green Island with Great Wind but NO smooth water -tide was all wrong-hoping for some smooth water on the .69m low but wasnt to be

Jp speed proto 73l rss7.0mk3 venom 26

Not a good day for this combination -venom kept cavitating when attempting to track up wind ...

Board gybed nicely in the rough stuff & RSS had amazing acceleration & control but just couldnt find any decent flat water runs ...

Came home early

Wind didn't happen but got some decent stuff for abour 3/4 hr just on the turn of the tide. Glorious day, warm, no cloud and good company.

Awesome day, I didn't break anything. Too rough for much speed and tide wasn't low enough for speed run to work.

Beautiful day at Green but no flat water and choppy as poop. I should have just used the 5.9 02 and gone ocean cruising, funny my best 3 2sec runs where way off the island and no where near the reef Undecided

CA SL58, 34 & 30cm Venoms, 6.8 Loft Blade and boardies of course Smile

Particular congrats to Rossco and Gaz....I was no match for the sailors at Kurri this weekend but enjoyed myself to the hilt.    Today I tried the Fatboy 120l and again rigged the Gun 6.5 Booster.

Good to meet up with Bear and Chris who are on their way south after GI.     Also Gaz dropped in for a chat.  HoppyBob had Freddie there as a caddy.

Congrats on the alpha Rossco. Got to love that flat water.

Bit rough at GI today. I hardly made any jibes.

Gaz, you're a machine. Great figures and congrats on all the PB's. Awesomwe effort. Hope the others had a good day as well. Lyn was still on the water when I left this arvo but not as good as yesterday at Kurri. Maybe the next high to come through will be better up this end of the world. Not looking that good tomorrow down this way at least.

Well done with all the PB's Gaz, that's a smoking NM for Green Cool

Nice Alpha Ross, congrats mate Cool

Cam you bugger you only sailed 10min and still got me with the 2sec Frown

Troppo played with his wave gear for 90% of the day, looping and crap, took the good gear out as the wind dropped Smile

Not the numbers we were hoping for but warm sunny skies and crystal water, I saw a couple of dolphins and mobs of turtles Smile And with good mates Smile

Phil - I had to get you on the hour this time, who knows when I'll get to sail again. Had the new boom today, felt a lot more confident and it's still in one piece!!

Had a look at my tracks, if I'd held the NM for another 100m it would have put me in the 29's.

I was hoping for better K's. That was only one more than my PB.

Locky - you'll have to try harder now. Had a look at the ladder and your now 18 behind me.

Thanks guys. A week on GI with a heap of young guns gave a bit of motivation. The old body even feels in reasonable knick.

Cam, if the 26 isnt working, next time try that board with the 30 venom (or a 28 if you have it). The venom seems to be a far less powerfull fin than most; i remember MVM commenting that he was going 2-4cm longer with the it compared to usual. Plus I'm sure that Jp isnt actually 73L. Seemed a lot more;  pretty close to the sx S when i used it over there...

I miss FNQ's water temperature Cry
