Started at Pt Walter in the morning. isonic 86 TR4 7.6 - hard to get many runs with wind all over the place - 2 sec best of 37.02.

Then moved to Melville after lunch. isonic 86 choco 30 and TR4 6.6. Wind was still very up and down. Not as smooth as Pt W but more room to move.  2 sec best of 38.42.

Arrived late and the wind went to ZERO when I finished rigging...stood around for a while but luckily a few little gusts appeared and I got powered up for short distances. Still, nice to try the new '08 CR 6.1 for the 1st time...sweet little sail!

F2 SXS & 96 Stoke, 6.6M KA Koncept then 5.9M KA Koyote then 5.3M KA Koyote then back to the 5.9M and the 6.6M with various fins.

The wind was all over the shop, changing direction, on, off, up, down, fkn all aroundSurprised

The Melville washing machine was going full on a couple of times there in the middleWink

Biggest day out in a long time & totally knackered!

Hard to line up flat water & a gust at the same time today but enjoyable anywayLaughing

Whoa! Rigged for the lulls 1st off with the 5.9M Koyote.

Soon changed my mind about that & rigged the 5.3M Koyote, had the best sail I have had in ages.

Freezing cold but well worth it, even had two dolphins pop up to say hello just in front of me, you've got to love that. Cool

Nice to see the Gracious one back - hope the knee held up Tony.

95L F2, 4.4m Neil Pryde

The wind was perfect for my 4.4m sail, for most of the day, and the chop was less than the last few days. But cold.

Oh so tired now!

Good to see everyone and meet Tony.

FIRST SESSION BACK FROM ACL RECON!!!Cool

Almost 5 months no sailing, very hard to take, but with a wonderful support team Southsiders, a no longer suffering wife and family all is on the mend.

Tentative steps, all the prep work I have done on the treadmill and track are different to the windsurfing muscles that get used, but I feel OK today.

All in the scariest thing was cold feet and struggling for the back strap with no feeling.

Great to meet the crew on the beech and our new star Cheryl.

Welcome back, Graceman.

Awesome speeds, Darryl. I understand what you mean about more room to move at Melville but only if you have the skill to do the moves in the chop. So in Melville red sails are not faster?

I don't know what all the fuss is about. Cold? I thought it was one of the more pleasant winter days. I think the WA crew needs a few cases of HTFU.

Bogdog, I am interested in your thoughts re the sail sizes. Clearly the heavyweights did better than us yesterday holding down bigger rigs. When you had the weight on with the 6.7 vs no weight? on the 5.6. I am still wondering whether to try going down the weight jacket path.

Welcome back Graceman,

Great to see youand even better that you got that first session under your belt.

Mark, i spent the last 3 session with weight, weighed it last night, the jacket ws 7kgs wet. 9% increase .

It makes everything smoother and you don't bounce around in the chop.

I have been doing all my lat pull ups, chin ups etc . with it on other last two weeks, and even did 70kms on the pushie the other day wiith it on., so when i been sail haven't noticed it.

I used a few time last session and didn't have the fittness, so it really hurt you by the end of the session

Still looking for a new one , this is jespers. I think i'll have to modify an impact vest
