Heat 4 - Ramsgate NE 10 - 30

Pissed off I did not pack the slalom gear as the wind really picked up and it looked like fun.

Drops MB14, NP RSR 10.7, Drake 70 - 19.

Nice Noreaster that exceeded the forecast. Warm, sunny, choppy.

Re-post to correct mistake in previous... Oops.  Still two PBs but the 5x10 not quote as good as I first posted - looked at single 10 second figure by mistake rather than 5x10 average. Embarassed

Kyeemagh (along the runway), 25-30 knots NE, F2 SX medium, NP Slalom 6.7m, JP slalom 36cm.

Went down to Ramsgate to see the lads formula racing.  I'll tell you, when you see that done well, you sure appreciate the skill involved.

Then, deciding to leave that caper to the experts, went for a sail up near the runway with Chris C.

Considering I wasn't sure I'd get a sail at all because Seabreeze wasn't forecasting any green, it turned out to be a cracker.  Few holes but on the main, very solid wind.

Pretty ordinary day on Lake Illawarra.  Fluky seabreeze that eventually died when the storms arrived.  Had the 'old girl' out - Fanatic Stingray 150 and a 6.6 Gaastra Nitro 4.  Underpowered but is the biggest I can rig until I get a new boom.  Nothing to be proud of but on the bright side I have not blown my PBs straight to the point where I will struggle to beat them!!

Starboard F162, NP RS:Racing 10.7, VMG J70.

JP Slalom 89, NP RS:Slalom 6.4, JP 34cm fin.

Two formula races and two slalom races. Good fun in the stronger than forecast wind.

Well done Tim.  That looked like punishing stuff with the big gear in that wind.

Bugger about the slalom gear Tim. So the seat harness got you out in the lead?
