Fresh from our first couple of days out in our campervan where we had the most wonderful time with our bikes in the summerlike weather at Thetford Forest :) I arrived back in Felixstowe at dinner time and made it to The Dip at 2 just in time, as the sailers were changing from 7.5 to 6.5 !!! So rigged the 6.6 and took the big freeride out as it was abit on the chilly side even though it was sunny !!! I beat up to the ferry river mouth past the 12 kiters that were out and played in the waves and flat water with my only company a seal !!!! So a top top weekend finished off by the best sail of the year so far :)

Flukey winds but nice and sunny. Should have stayed out longer because the wind filled in and increased in strength after I'd de-rigged. Never mind, it was nice to be out and I managed one nice gybe in a gust (min. speed 15 knots).

Spot / Conditions: Brogborough Lake (England), 12 knots
Kit: JP Slalom V 76, 8.4m NP RS:Slalom MK II, Tectonics Talon 46
Tech Details: Navi GT-31 V1.3 (B1123t), GPSResults v6.71, Doppler, Cubic Spline.

Busy day for DIY so only got down to the lake after 5pm when most were packing up after a good afternoon.  Managed a few runs before wind dropped but at least I went out.

Rik - hope the leg is not too bad this morning...
