Went up to Port Douglas with high hopes only to be greeted with overcast skies and light wind, bugger. After waiting 3hrs we got wind and the day turned into one of the best in a long long time, stoked.

I believe the boys on Green did very well including B-rad Cool

Carbon Art SL58, 34 Venom, 6.8 Loft Blade & Boardshorts.

The wind gods felt sorry for us and blessed us with good wind that built up all arvo. Bob Fred and Richard came up from cairns, did not take long for bob to let us know he was the fastest kid on the block. Fred sailed the best I have seen him for awhile don't think he put a foot wrong all arvo had some good races with him but couldn't put him away. I should of changed to a smaller fin and picked up a few more knots, but had it in rebuilt gladiator which I wanted to road test. Had one unpleasant get off trying to keep Fred at bay mast base slipped forward put me face first in the drink, don'tyou hate that. Took the gladiator out for a spin took a few laps to get it tuned up, it seemed ok a bit stiff maybe a bit hard on the rails but handled 20 knots and a choppy sea with ease. Spotted Richard still blasting around so had a few runs with him before knock of, it was an each way bet nothing in it at all. At the end of the day every one went away shagged but happy...hope this weekend puts us on top of ladder..Cheers Ed..

RRD X Fire 105 MFC 36 slalom RSR 7.0 evo2 with one run on the CA 53 caspar 27.

Challenging day with some hairy moments close to the reef margin at low tide.

Great wind today with probably close to 30knots on the water at times.

Lack of smooth water was the main problem .

Eastern Run was really fun until 9 kiters appeared & took over ...never seen such a sight before !!!

B Rad made some adjustments for me to the Ca 53 -Feels much better so thanks .I like his caspars-solid underfoot.

Hands are wrecked ...SmileSmile

Port Douglas, QLD, AU

had a great day sailing at port with young Edward and the team captain Mr. Firie.

Didn't look that promising at first but turned into quite a good day.

Ed and myself had quite a few runs/races together and was very close ....Firie on the other hand

was too fast and had to sail by himself!!

Very enjoyable. Hope the crew that went to Kurrimine had just as good a time.
