5249 days ago When I arrived at Green this morning Cam's telling me to hurry up because we're sailing the Arlington Speed Strip before the tide goes to poop. So I took off chasing Brad who was flying before turning around to sail with Big Benny (Troppo) to Arlington which was fun and bought back memories of us doing that (ocean cruising) before he headed to WA, managed just under 29 knot 2sec 3/4 the way to Arlington and was happy with that. The direction we took was spot on 8 Km from Green. Followed the kid onto the inside of the reef, headed upwind tapping the reef on my gybe to head down, wow awesome fun and got my best speed for the day. Worried about the reef so I headed back to Green only to run out of wind as I got there. Made the decision to take the early boat home only to see from the boat the wind was back and everyone flying along the reef, looked impressive but too late for me. On the way home my windsurf hot rod died a horrible death, had to organize a tow and leave it outside my mechanics. So for me that's the end of GISW, bugger.
Big big thanks to Cam and the lovely Cath for putting in all the hard work to make this happen, also to everyone who made the effort to support it by coming from far and wide, even one FNQ'er in his late 70's, well done Hans

Had a hard time getting the k's today as the wind was up and down with the rain squalls and low tide meant lots of jibes and very short runs.
The longest run was 11.3 k's
