5222 days ago Something was wrong at the Pit today, there was more kitters than windsurfers.....this has to stop Tom and I went is search of a decent session which has been lacking in Vic for some time and we found one. Bloody cold though, ice cream head ache when i first fell in..BRRRRRRRRRRR. Beautifull Pit weather, Cold, sunny, rain, hail and a nice 20-30 wsw. I also had a new toy to play with CA sl52. All the top speeds done on the CA 40, the Alpha and 1 hr on the SL52. I,m in love.......the board just loves turning and chop, carn,t wait for a good day to do 1hrs and Alpha,s as today had a few holes.
Shot some vid of today and i,ll add it latter

5222 days ago Good news was that there was no snow, only occassional tiny hail. Temperatures were positive!!! Before I left home, the outside temperature was 1.2 degrees. When I came back about 4pm the outside temperature rose to whopping 2.6 degrees. Bad news was that there were way too many sandbars for me on the way upwind today. This unfortunately led to hole in the 5.0 Koncept.
Sailing in Victorian winter is definitely a challenge. Cold weather sailing drains your fittness a lot faster than warm weather sailing. Try to jybe when you cannot feel your fingers...
I arrived ~1 hour too late for the best wind and made only 1 good run, my PB on CA50 with 5.0 Koncept and V8 fin. Alpha on Futura 101, 5.7 Koncept with 37cm KA fin in lighter conditions.
